Speedy deletion nomination of Greenback Zo
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Greenback Zo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 331dot (talk) 11:14, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
What exactly was it promoting? It was informational and a start. A lot more was going to be added. Everyone calling me a local celeb is inaccurate and incorrect. Most of my traffic comes from different states as well as different countries. I don't understand why I'm being attacked there are way more things on Wikipedia that need removal. I am not using Wikipedia in a destructive way. I actually did not make the page nor did anyone I know. Someone from the Wikipedia community made it. How do you expect others to succeed when peers are constantly pulling one another down? Who can authorize this since everyone that has a hand in taking it down doesn't have the power to put it back?

[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Greenback Zo. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 11:51, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
You're right. I don't like how Wikipedia works, I don't like any of the experienced editors. I shouldn't be here. I did not insult anyone because I think I'm better. I do not want a Wikipedia page for your previously stated reasons. I use Wikipedia and consider it credible. If anyone can tell you how big my dick is, it's me. Neither you nor your website give me any clout. I wasn't promoting. What am I going to say, hey go check out my Wikipedia. Fuck you, your editor friends and Wikipedia. And fuck my Wikipedia page I dont want one
add that to my wiki
I hope they ban me and delete my account so I don't have to do it
Not happening
[edit]Your page was promotional, you can't expect it to stay. Users are not concerned if your fans find it easier to find you on wiki. And to be honest, if anything, you are only a local celebrity, which does meet the criteria of being notable.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 14:27, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

You may be mentioned outside your local area, but that does not make you nationally popular. Have you released a nationally cha rting song or album (have you even released an album)? Is it on a major label? Is your music innovative in its genre? Is there any credible sources that support this (other than your own word)? Is your article neutral in tone? If you answer honestly, you would say no to all the above, which means your are not notable yet for an article. I would know, I specifically work on writing music articles about bands that have been revived over the years, making them notable.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 00:14, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Perhaps if this information was on Wikipedia you wouldn't be so incorrect. I've had a single recently place on top 100 billboard breakout artist. That song is currently getting college airplay on a national level through universal records marketing. I have my own label (assuming that page would get deleted) which is promotion marketing and distribution. I will never sign to a major label. Not that I can't I've been songwriting in the industry over five years and have credits with Atlantic records. Do you want me to screenshot royalty checks? My article was not complete as I did not submit all vital information. I plan on releasing my album and another single with help from universal records in which I am aiming higher. How can I become more notable in your eyes to permit my wiki? When will I be valid to you?
- You are not creating a "wiki"(an entire website) but an article on Wikipedia(a particular wiki). If those things are on the notability criteria for music then yes, you can have a non-promotional article- but you should not write it yourself as it would be an autobiography which is strongly discouraged; also see conflict of interest. Please take your evidence to Requested Articles so that others can write an article about you. 331dot (talk) 09:20, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
Look Greenback, you are not yet notable by being a "breakout artist", but if you persist on adding the article, at least let someone who is actually trying to be neutral, write it. I don't appreciate how you blatantly disregard the rules here, but if you give me time, and everyone here an apology, I will consider creating your article. Just note, it will not be used to positively influence your image, but rather to state only facts.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 13:15, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
The graceful slick... Thank you for you advice. Thank you for being patient. I a, not trying to disregard your rules nor offend anyone in the community. I apologize if I ruffled anyone's feathers as you all know any artists can be sensitive about someone belittleing there works. I think my article was pretty neutral and I just want facts. An encyclopedia type of page. What can I do to have you or one of your peers assist me here. My email is greenbackzo@gmail.com feel free to drop me an email or I will also be checking this periodically. Thanks graceful slick
To be honest, I saw your new comments to two of our experienced editors and I'm disgusted. Majorly uncalled for, especially since they actually know how this place works. Musical artist or not, I don't respect someone who just outright insults someone because they think there are somehow better. I was going to write your page, but after seeing those statements I honestly believe you don't deserve someone's time to write it. Perhaps you should recall a time when real artists took enough pride in their work and didn't need the publicity of comercialism (or today webpages) to feel their work is relevant. Maybe one day you will become a national success and you will probably come back and rub it in my face about how "notable" you perceive yourself to be. I will laugh at it, because any musical artist who cares this much about their public appeal, has lost touch with what music is really about. Hopefully this will wake you up, if not, I have nothing more to say to you, peace brother.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 22:17, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

- I'm not sure what you mean when you say you didn't make the page; someone using this username made the page. I am not out to remove this page; I am out to make sure pages have independent reliable sources that indicate something notable per the notability guidelines (in this case, for music). If you can demonstrate that you meet one or more of the notability guidelines, then you certainly do merit a page- but you shouldn't write it yourself per the conflict of interest policy. 331dot (talk) 01:52, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. 331dot (talk) 09:16, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
