- @BatemanMgmt: The article is a WP:BLP with many unreferenced claims. Where in the references that you listed is the record of the subject winning 4 martial arts world titles, other than the vague lines in the first article on Diply where it mentions he came 2nd in an ESPN held martial arts competition, and a poorly drawn reference of his achievements in the second source? Any exceptional claim requires multiple high-quality sources. Claims that are supported purely by primary or self-published sources, or claims not covered by multiple mainstream media sources should not be used for such a purpose. See WP:EXCEPTIONAL. Also, please note that while information must be verifiable in order to be included in an article, this does not mean that all verifiable information must be included in an article. See WP:ROC. The subject at hand is notable for his modelling and social media presence. Period. Him being a martial artist has no bearing on his notability because that's not what he's known for. See WP:N. As such, you're not required to add excessive details regarding his past martial arts life. ~ Green hornet1415 (talk) 10:09, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
This is getting absurd, there are many Wikipedia Bio Pages that are in fact very detailed. we as Nick's management team would like his bio to be accurate and detailed, as almost every article about Nick states he holds 4 martial arts world titles and this important accurate information should be represented on his bio, not sure what the problem here is
below are 4 published article links from reputable news outlets that all verify Nick's personal achievement of his 4 world titles
National Post; http://news.nationalpost.com/posted-toronto/on-the-town-with-actor-model-and-martial-artist-nick-bateman
Daily Front Row; https://fashionweekdaily.com/who-hell-nick-bateman/
Extra TV; http://extratv.com/2015/05/12/5-things-about-model-and-social-media-sensation-nick-bateman/
Diply; http://diply.com/rogue/get-to-know-nick-bateman/89251
Admin supervision should be requested if you keep feeling the need remove this key bio information,
at this point to keep removing it seems to be more of a personal issue rather then in the best interest of the bio article and wikipedia.
Please stop removing this important bio information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BatemanMgmt (talk • contribs) 20:54, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
- Those articles are minutely detailed because there are abundant substantial evidences and sources to make up for their composition. The article in question is a WP:BLP with hardly any references, and as such, do not need unnecessary expansion. A brief account of his notability should suffice, given the trace amount of information we have about the subject. And seriously? You're going to link me to a source whose opening head reads "Who's hotter?! Jamie Dornan or Nick Bateman?!" That's your idea of a credible source? An opinionated piece of article? Also, there's no record of the subject, I repeat, no record of the subject, actually holding 4 world martial arts title (emphasis on 4), except for a vague mentioning in the first source (Notice how the lines are worded; He would win four world championships before retiring from competition. For fighting the best I ever got was fourth in the world so I'm much a performer than a fighter. Mind you, that's a lot different than actually being placed first and winning a title ship). Further, there is absolutely no record of him practising Goju Ryu karate. Why then, should the article, include this unsubstantiated information? I have no connections with the subject. So pease don't link your inability to understand Wikipedia's way of working as me having some kind of personal vendetta. I've requested another editor's consent on this topic. Please refrain from making any further changes until then. You can continue with that edit once this conflict has been resolved. ~ Green hornet1415 (talk) 21:12, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
- Please consider uploading a picture of the subject for the article as well, on Wikimedia commons, if you're indeed his representative. ~ Green hornet1415 (talk) 23:02, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
