Answer Age of consent
[edit]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Ages_of_consent_in_Europe#Vatican
I hope you anderstand the difference between civil/canonical/moral/criminal law. --Franz (Fg68at) de:Talk 04:30, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- There is still come confusion as the Lateran Treaty directs that criminal law is adopted only where Canon Law is not in dispute, even though Canon Law is a civil law or moral code, and not a criminal code. The articles by Reuters and the BBC, to which you referred in your edits, affirmed that Italian criminal law was only adopted when it was not in conflict with Canon Law (even though, again, it is classed as a civil law/moral code, and not a criminal code). There is a conflict in the legal precepts. You did not clear this issue up. In addition, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_Europe#Vatican currently puts the legal age at 14 and 16, which we can both agree is incorrect.
