Your contributed article, Barfi! (soundtrack)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Barfi! (soundtrack). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Barfi!#Soundtrack. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Barfi!#Soundtrack – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 11:22, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

October 2012

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Navya (TV series) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 17:52, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

No problem at all, this is a very common error, especially given the number of policies, guidelines, and rules we have; there's also no need for you to apologize. Feel free to read the welcome message above for links to different policies etc. If you have any questions you can also post them at WT:INB as editors interested in India related topics participate there. —SpacemanSpiff 04:45, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

POTD scheduling

Hi and thanks for your efforts in scheduling the Picture of the day. However, the image you selected, File:Taj Mahal 2012.jpg is not a Featured Picture. The Pictures of the day are selected from the existing Featured pictures in a roughly FIFO order. If you are interested in nominating this image for Featured status, please do so at Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates. If you would like to help out with the POTD, please be sure to read Wikipedia:Picture of the day/Guidelines. Thank you and let me know if you have any questions. howcheng {chat} 21:29, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:STAR-Parivaar-Awards-2012-300x300.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:STAR-Parivaar-Awards-2012-300x300.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. January (talk) 16:30, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. A tag has been placed on Golden Petal Awards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. Hello Greatuser,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Veera (TV series), may be copied from http://apne.tv/episodes/id/320/Veera.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 07:17, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Please do not remove the {{copyvio}} template from articles, as you did with Balaji Telefilms. Your action has been reverted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted, and removing copyright notices will not help your case. You can properly contest the deletion at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. If you are the owner of the material, you may release the material under the Creative Commons and GFDL licenses, as detailed at WP:IOWN. Alternatively, you are welcome to create a draft in your own words at Balaji Telefilms/Temp. If you continue to insert copyright violations and/or remove copyright notices, you may be blocked from editing. Psychonaut (talk) 13:19, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Hello, As Recently I removed the {{Copyvio}}, The Problem was that Edits from other websites have been copied and paste on the article (Copyright), But when i removed the Template, I also removed the Copyrighted Text, Thank You Greatuser (talk) 16:35, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
Please note the instructions prominently displayed at the top of the template: "Do not restore or edit the blanked content on this page until the issue is resolved by an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent." You are not an administrator, copyright clerk, or OTRS agent, so please do not remove the template. If you would like to volunteer to write a non-infringing version of the article, please follow the instructions near the link labelled "Otherwise, you may write a new article without copyright-infringing material." —Psychonaut (talk) 18:34, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
And please don't change other users' comments, as you did to mine in this edit. This is tantamount to forgery or impersonation. You can remove comments and warning templates from your user page if you wish, but don't alter their text! —Psychonaut (talk) 18:41, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Greatuser. I note you also removed the copyvio template from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, so I've reverted this change plus the subsequent ones you made. Please feel free to copy the lastest version you made to a temporary copy of the article as instructed in the copyvio template; then an administrator or copyright clerk can apply your fixes to the main article. —Psychonaut (talk) 09:58, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:Zakhmi Zameen 1990 Poster.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Zakhmi Zameen 1990 Poster.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:15, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

Vidya Balan edits

All the significant awards are already mentioned, woven into the text of the article. The prose of the article, before your editing, has been stable, attained good article status. And now the article is a candidate for featured article status. Please refrain from unilateral editing, please discuss your intended changes in the talk page first. The section on Awards that you added is simply redundant, as all the information are already mentioned in the rest of the prose. Additionally, the section was poorly written with many technical/ grammar mistakes. Such mistakes would undermine the article' s chance in the featured article candidacy. That being said, I do not mind a list of significant awards at the end of the article. However, no need to elaborate on those awards as detailed description is already there in the text. Even before adding that, you should propose that in the talk page, with appropriate rationale. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 20:58, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Please. I request you to not start an edit war now. The article is stable and running for featured article status. If you have anything to add, please discuss in the talk page first.--S.M.A.R.O.J.I.T (talk) 05:31, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Do you want the article to FAIL the FA Review?? The article needs to be stable; which seems impossible due to your nonconstructive edits. I request you one last time to stop making such changes to the article! --S.M.A.R.O.J.I.T (talk) 05:38, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I have no more made edits about awards and honors and neither that is non-constructive nor about awards and nominations, Thank You Greatuser (talk) 05:43, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Re: Shahrukh Khan

You weren't reverted by Chris G, you were reverted by a bot.[1] The procedure has changed; we no longer nominate articles on the main page as this is done automatically by a bot. Please follow the new procedure at "How to nominate an article" by adding the appropriate template to the top of Talk:Shahrukh Khan. After you have done this, the bot will nominate the article for you automatically. Viriditas (talk) 12:29, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

User warnings

Hi. I'm just wondering what this warning was for. Apparently the user hasn't edited since 15 July. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:16, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sunny Deol filmography, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://dbpedia.org/page/Sunny_Deol.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 12:19, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Welcoming users

Hi. I'm just wondering why you welcomed this anon user: 82.40.198.212. Their only edits appear to have been possible vandalism. We generally only welcome users who have at least already made a few significant constructive edits. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:20, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I'm just letting you know that I have removed the text you copied from another website. Please do not copy text from other sources. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:27, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

How could you not notice? You copied it yourself. Please do not do this again - it's not a policy that's hard to follow. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:38, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
The alleged copyvio is from DBpedia, which actually gets its content from Wikipedia. Whatever user or bot flagged this as a copyvio from DBpedia is therefore mistaken in identifying the source of the content. What actually happened is that Greatuser copied and pasted text from the Sunny Deol Wikipedia article to create a new article. This is still a copyright violation, as he failed to credit the contributors (for example, with a {{copied}} template). Greatuser, please make sure to use the {{copied}} template any time you copy text from one Wikipedia article to another. —Psychonaut (talk) 13:09, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
OK Thank You Greatuser (talk) 13:14, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
No problem. Please go ahead and add the {{copied}} template to the two articles' talk pages now. By the way, there is no need to use talkback with me. I monitor all user talk pages I contribute to. —Psychonaut (talk) 13:49, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

It's quite unecessary to make a new article on his filmography since the main article is not too long (like Shahrukh Khan's page). Torreslfchero (talk) 13:52, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Greatuser, and thank you for your contributions!

An article you worked on Pratigya, appears to be directly copied from http://www.desifun.co.uk/watch-online-movie/pratigya.htm. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on Pratigya if necessary. MadmanBot (talk) 14:45, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Please do not edit text marked with the {{copyviocore}} template as you recently did at Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The template clearly states, "Do not restore or edit the blanked content on this page until the issue is resolved by an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent." You are not an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent, so you are not permitted to edit the content. If you want to volunteer to produce a non-infringing version of the page, please follow the instructions on the template. This was already explained to you several days ago in the section #Removal of copyright violation template on Balaji Telefilms and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai above. —Psychonaut (talk) 15:28, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Munna Bhai (film series)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Munna Bhai (film series). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Lage Raho Munna Bhai – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

§§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 05:30, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:13, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Sakshi Tanwar into List of awards and nominations received by Sakshi Tanwar. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. It would be appreciated if you could provide attribution for this duplication, as well as for the other cases mentioned previously on your talk page. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. —Psychonaut (talk) 16:06, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for taking care of this. Please note, though, that the {{copied}} template goes on the talk page, not the article page. —Psychonaut (talk) 11:29, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Hamari Saas Kya Hai, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Why dont you understand the situation. You seem to be in always hurry while doing editting.Wikipedia is a place to work with mutual cooperation not to deteriorate others hard work. You were requested many times and this time too.I dont think its your intention then please cooperate.Thanx---zeeyanketu talk to me 18:11, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Despite discouragement and tending-to ownership behavior from some users, I do applaud you for being bold in editing. Just a few points I thought you'd like to note. One, for a GA or FA article, since they are of well-to-do standards, users are expected to discuss non-minor edits such as the ones you made to her article, in the talk page and get consensus before adding it. I left a note in Smaro's page too, explaining why his actions weren't right either. Two, please do not revert more than thrice in an article pertaining to same or similar issues, and instead, initiate a discussion, as you did previously. Three, you're doing some good work here, and by just ironing the downs, you'd make a great editor. Thanks. Secret of success · talk 10:59, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Rush-2012-free-hindi-mp3-songs-download.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip (e.g. a Word document or PDF file) that has no encyclopedic use.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ---zeeyanketu talk to me 04:27, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:The-Global-Indian-Film-Television-Honours-2012.jpg

⚠
Thanks for uploading File:The-Global-Indian-Film-Television-Honours-2012.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. SuperMarioMan 07:19, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

The article List of accolades received by Don 2 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The section is not long enough and it seems better in main article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ---zeeyanketu talk to me 19:38, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
