[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to Elgin Crescent appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Hi there - you have added Douglas Hedges and Drew Hughes back to this article. Please don't add people unless they already have articles in Wikipedia. If they are notable, you can write the articles yourself then link to them. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 08:54, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hi again. You've added these people back in with the edit summary saying "these people are notable, they just haven’t had time to make their own wiki page yet". Please have a look at the guidance linked in your welcome message. The subjects of articles should not write their own pages. If they are notable (and this can be backed up by multiple reliable sources), you can create their articles. Otherwise, please do not link them in the Elgin Crescent article. Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
