Macedonia - NEVER BEEN A GREEK WORD, NEITHER THE NAME AND THE REGION OCCUR IN CONNECTION WITH ANCIENT OR MODERN GREECE. 1913 - was the year when modern Greece, finally after years of propaganda annexed the largest part of the Ottoman province of Macedonia. Macedonia :: general information

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —Khoikhoi 01:20, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. —Khoikhoi 14:31, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hey man, that what I did, was not ment for advertise. There were too many links for my site (http://macedonia.cjb.net). But they were set on the previous server http://www.popovashapka.com/macedoniainfo/ that no longer exist. I was just renaming the links, that were probably placed by admins.
I didn't spam.
best regards.
- Hi Gorco, the problem is that we don't want Wikipedia to turn into some directory of external links, because that's not how Wikipedia grows. Wikipedia grows when content is added to articles. I've removed the links, whoever added them - it doesn't really matter. My point is just that if all the other websites did this, Wikipedia wouldn't be an encyclopedia anymore. Hope you understand! —Khoikhoi 02:55, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi Khoikhoi
[edit]Yes I agree with that totally. However, there are several wikipedia article that have been made from copying texts from my website. I would just like to have a link for those, because that actually my texts.
if you can manage to tell me, which wikipedia pages had my links I would be very gratefull to ya.
best regards, Gorco
- If there are articles that copy material from your website, please let me know which ones. Also, are you ok with that? If you are, we can link to your website with a note about permission. If you aren't, we're going to have to remove the text.
- Several pages had links to your website, most notably the ones you edited here. —Khoikhoi 19:51, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue spamming you will be blocked from editing. Khoikhoi 03:54, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
What is your problem, most of the places where I have "spammed", I have edited, as I see about Mavrovo, I have added information, you have deleted it. Wasnot the purpose of WIKIPEDIA to store information and the same information to be edited, in a meaning of update and upgrade by the WIKI users. WHAT is that, you delete upgraded stories? I'll tell you why, you are probably a Greek or Bulgarian guy with a little dick, or the worst a neutral that is under their influence. You think I am afraid of being blocked from editing. hahahahahaha; I don'ty see a reason why not to be a URL that occurs in connection with the story (cause mosto of all, many wikipedia articles use my website as a source and many pages had the old host - popovashapka.com - What I did now, I did it earlier, just changed the URL into the new. I think you should have talked to the ones that have put the www.popovashapka.com/macedoniainfo/ URL, but they are probably MODS, that are high above you and you couldn'y do anything, so now you try to scare me). If you wanna scare me man, I'd rather prefer on doin' it, when our eyes will establish a contact, and not through a PC.
link addition to Republic of Macedonia
[edit]Huh, sorry, but, said in a courteous manner, that portal does not provide an unique resource at all:
- For the capital Skojpe it lists zero acommodations (indeed, it doesn't seem to list any acommodations on any city).
- Part of the text is identical to National Tourism portal: "Owing to its high elevation (1,300 meters or 4,400 feet), Krusevo is also one of Macedonia’s prime winter sports destinations. Yet this same quality also makes this pine-forested getaway a comfortable destination in summer, when the Krusevo air stays cooler and more pure than in the arid lowlands." http://www.travel2macedonia.com.mk/?page=getting-around&locid=29 is identical word by word to the text on the official portal website for the same city [1].
- In the "we are managing" section it says that the website only has one acommodation, and that it has no entries for Flights, Car rentals, Tours, Restaurants, or Bars & Clubs. Wtf? Clicking on the relevant sections gives no entries at all.
Your website only adds a bit more detailed information about cities, but it's not information that a featured wikipedia article on that city can't offer. That website really needs to be improved a lot before it can be realistically considered for the article. Btw, you should take a look at the wikitravel website as a more appropiate place for travel information. --Enric Naval (talk) 15:19, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi Enric Naval,
yes but that is only one row that is the same. I can re-write it but it doesn't matter. It is is brand new web site , that is why it does not list any accommodation so far.
I will speak to you when it will be filled.
regards, Goran

[edit]As you can see from your talk page above, I've previously warned you about adding links to your own website and spamming them throughout Wikipedia articles. However, it appears that you're still adding them as recently as five days ago. The next time you do so, this account will be indefinitely blocked from editing. If you really want to contribute to Wikipedia, consider adding actual content. But our policy on spamming is very clear, and makedonija.name can eventually be blacklisted if necessary. Please consider this a final warning to stop, and consider how you can edit constructively instead. Khoikhoi 07:45, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
