Content could not be aligned with the text, distorting the overall outlook of the page. Furthermore, it was no longer necessary for the entry, as the infobox at the top of the page has been updated. Goombario64 (talk) 18:44, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Luxembourg National Identity Card Back SPECIMEN.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Luxembourg National Identity Card Back SPECIMEN.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:30, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"National identity cards in the EFTA"

[edit]

Regarding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_identity_cards_in_the_EFTA: with all due respect, you are sorely mistaken about the EU, EEA and EFTA. EFTA is just Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. To include all countries, it's either EU+EFTA or EEA+Switzerland. There's no single "brand" covering them all. So please fix this egregious error ASAP as I can't find the function to do so. André Devecserii (talk) 23:52, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for your reply. I am pretty much aware of which countries form which specific international organizations, thank you very much. The reason I decided to pick this title is that EFTA countries have been essentially following EU policies as regards new e-ID cards, so despite the fact that the EU is not a member-state of the EFTA the title could in this case represent a "collective term" (as EFTA countries apply EU rules on their own motion). I apologize if this kind of thinking was far-fetched.
Please note that the previous titles of the page were "national identity cards in the EEA" and "national identity cards in the European Union", both of which were also inaccurate. So, I may as well pick a title along the lines of "national identity cards in the European Economic Area and Switzerland".
Have a nice day! Goombario64 (talk) 08:58, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
