[edit]Hi GoodClover, I'm Primefac. You'll likely not be pleased about this but I have removed some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information about you. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. Thank you, and sorry for messing about with your edits! Primefac (talk) 10:46, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for removing the birth date :), it appears the history is also inaccessible too which is good. Appears I added it a while ago, no idea why I did that. --GoodClover (talk) 10:51, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
The article OpenMoji has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
A commendable project, but far from meeting WP:GNG or WP:NSOFT. Google does not turn up any independent coverage besides a handful of blogs.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 01:44, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Go ahead, delete it. IMO the rules are a bit too strict but that's that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I was originally gonna expand on the page but it was marked for "multiple problems" almost immediately so I saw no point in doing so. --GoodClover (a.k.a. Olive, GodClovere, ) (talk) 12:11, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi GoodClover, just now seeing this reply. In general, for a subject to be "notable" on Wikipedia it needs to have been covered in reliable, third-party sources (see our general notability guideline for more details). In my online search I did not come across any such coverage for the OpenMoji project, which is why I tagged the article for deletion. I did feel bad tagging it for deletion since the article was well formatted and on an interesting subject; however, I do think it's important that our notability guidelines are applied consistently. In any case, don't let this discourage you from further content creation. You are doing good work, and clearly have a solid grasp of what it takes to edit productively here. Feel free to drop a message on my talk page if you have any questions and I'd be glad to help out as best I can. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 17:30, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
