[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Climate change and gender has been reverted.
Your edit here to Climate change and gender was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (http://generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk/deccma/wp-content/uploads/sites/181/2017/02/MD-delta-brief2.pdf) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:08, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
- The URL is for a published policy brief of a research project published on the project's website which contains the "wordpress" in the URL. I confirm that this link is not a wordpress blog with personal opinions but contains evidence from research. GoluBanner11 (talk) 05:41, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Linking
[edit]Do adhere to what the bots are telling you. See what WP:External linking and WP:Reliable sources state. There is no good reason to link to WordPress on Wikipedia, and especially directly in the text. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 02:50, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Pinging EMsmile from above to maybe help guide you. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 02:52, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the guidance. I confirm that the source is not a wordpress blog but a link to a published policy brief on the research project website which (unfortunately!) has the word wordpress in the URL. It seems I cannot cite the evidences shared in these policy briefs owing to this wordpress issue. GoluBanner11 (talk) 05:37, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
