Fair use rationale for File:Ajman-stamp1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ajman-stamp1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 05:57, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Golf Bravo! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 51 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Palestine Railways photographs
[edit]Thankyou for the scans of 1940s photos that you uploaded in 2007 for Hebrew Wikipedia's article about Palestine Railways. I've copied the images, cleaned some of them a bit, uploaded them to Wikimedia and added them to the article's German and English counterparts :o)
However, I've now had doubts about one of the photos and deleted it from the articles. "PalestineRailwaysNG1946ca1.jpg" says it's from the "Report of The General Manager on the Administration of the Palestine Railways and Operated Lines:1946/1947. Warhaftig's Press. Haifa, Palestine". But what locomotive is it, and was the photograph taken on Palestine Railways? That loco's number is 153 but PR never had one with that number. PR locomotives all had buffers and three-link couplers like British ones and none had cow-catchers, but 153 has a buckeye coupler, a cowcatcher and no buffers like on a US railroad. It looks a bit like the Palestine Railways H class but the shapes of the cylinder block and steam pipe are wrong. And the H class were built by Baldwin and have a typical pair of Baldwin buffer-beam stays between the buffer-beam and the smokebox, but 153 has not.
Do you still have the original PR 1946-47 report from which the photo is supposed to have come? If so please will you check it and tell me what locomotive 153 is and where the photo was taken? I uploaded the photo to Wikimedia as a PR class H but if it's something else I need to change the description I gave it - and the file name!

- I've now worked out that the locomotive is a 1050mm gauge former Hejaz Railway 2-8-0 that worked on the Jezreel Valley railway. Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik Winterthur built it in 1912, it was transferred to Palestine Railways in 1927 and evidently it was still running in 1946.
- All I need now is the location of the photograph. My guess is it may be Haifa and the locomotive may be running on dual gauge 1050 and 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+1⁄2 in) track. If you are able to tell me for certain, I'd be very grateful.
- Thanks again, Motacilla (talk) 14:31, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- I could not identify any file under the name "PalestineRailwaysNG1946ca1.jpg". I only assume that you refer to File:PalestineRailways-1946-ClassH-1.jpg. This photo was taken at the yard of Haifa East station, it still looks the same from this angle... Golf Bravo (talk) 17:03, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
