Hello, the sentence below is unsourced. There is no evidence that the claims of Bob Monkhouse or Mr Blackwell have anything to do with Hector Arce's book. Please do not add this again.

Since that time, copycat claims have been made, but these claims have been unsubstantiated accounts, relying largely on the original Hector Arce source, and various anonymous sources.

Tyrone Power screenshots

[edit]

Following on from our discussion I've updated each of the screenshot images with a fair use rationale, so I think they are all fine now. I was also wondering how you would feel if I substituted one of your images with one from Witness for the Prosecution - I've posed the question on the talk page, but as they were added by you, of course, I would not do anything without discussing it with you first. I'd like to add Witness because it was very late in his career, plus it showed him as a villain rather than the hero that he had usually played. I'd value your comments. cheers Rossrs 10:09, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alteration of my response

[edit]

Although you're more than welcome to disagree with my characterization of Tyrone Power's bisexuality, or "alleged" bisexuality, it is inappropriate for you to alter messages clearly attributed to me. Please feel free to comment on what I have to say in the future, but refrain from editing my statements of opinion that are not part of any article. Thank you. --JereKrischel 00:10, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

General ettiqutte on editing other's opinions (non-article)

[edit]

Thank you for your reply Goldenerafn. I can easily understand how you may have been confused as to proper ettiqutte regarding editing other people's words on talk pages.

Simply put, if something is patently offensive (I know, terribly subjective term, but there it is), deletion of that particular comment is not a breach of protocol. For example, if someone adds an insulting section on a talk page accusing someone of child molestation, and not in any way addressing the article, it is proper to delete such vandalism.

However, if it is merely a matter of disagreement of wording, editing someone else's post for accuracy is not particularly polite. It is more appropriate to establish your disagreement with their wording in your own reply.

I have replied on the mediation page to your concerns regarding my wording, and I hope that you accept my apology if I left the wrong impression. I have absolutely no opinion on anyone's alleged heterosexuality, alleged homosexuality, or alleged bisexuality. It simply does not matter to me one way or the other.

As someone new to Wikipedia, let me welcome you first of all, and thank you for your contributions. But let me also suggest to you that you may have a more enjoyable experience contributing if you assume the best intentions of others. I know you are not a child, and I apologize for any resentment I may have caused on your part due to my words regarding apologies all around. However, I will stand by my assertion that on both sides, the assumption of bad faith was the root of this dispute, and the only way to get past that is through contrition and humility by all parties. --JereKrischel 04:06, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tyrone Power images

[edit]

I think the images you've chosen are very good choices and I also think that the suggested text works well in making them relevant. I also think that swapping the JBB and the Karsh is appropriate as per the mediation suggestion and the consensus that we reached before mediation. Whether that's the end of the matter remains to be seen. Rossrs 09:08, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
