Thanks for uploading Image:Hartmann1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 21:35, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You know what? This is bullshit. because I am expected to copyright an image or else nobody can see it. This is how greedy corporations have trampled all over MY RIGHTS as an andividual, they have declared every image is unfit to be seen until I satisfy the whim of Giant Corporations. This is bullshit that my picture was taken off the page. Why don't you just declare me guilty until proven innocent?

Gnarlodious (talk · contribs), I see you have the same handle as the registrant of spectrumology.com, the subject of this article. Please see WP:VAIN-WP:AUTO-WP:WIN. ---CH 09:26, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for uploading this pic. Just wanted to let you know that the software Wikipedia runs on can automatically resize any image, so there's no need to upload large and small versions of the same image. Cheers, ˉˉanetode╦╩ 03:23, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Harrison (publisher)

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Michael Harrison (publisher), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. BPMullins | Talk 04:18, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some advice

[edit]

Hey Gnarlodious!

I just fixed the typo you noted in the Battle of the Chinese Farm. Thanks for pointing it out.

You can't edit references via the References section or the {{reflist}}. You need to go to the text, where the footnote number is, and open the edit window for that particular section. The text in the footnote will appear between two tags in this form: <ref>...</ref>. Simply edit the text between the two tags. As you might have guessed, you can add these ref tags yourself to create a new citation. If you can spare some time, have a read of WP:MoS.

Finally, when posting on talk pages, whether those of article or of users, remember to sign using four tildes: ~~~~. In the toolbar is a button which does this for you.

Have fun editing! --Sherif9282 (talk) 03:52, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:DougStephan.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:DougStephan.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Asshole. I don't "steal" pictures from websites, I took it myself with my own camera. if you don't like then then just delete it.
