Answered!
Hi, I answered your question! Derild4921☼ 15:57, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Seeking adoption?
Hello Glimmer! I see you're looking for an experienced user to adopt you. If you'd like, I would be more than happy to do so! Please, let me know either here or on my talk page if you're interested. SwarmTalk 01:55, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. I've removed the "seeking adoption" userbox from your user page, because it placed you in a backlog of users seeking adoption. Regards, SwarmTalk 02:07, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Adoption
Sorry for the talkback after you'd already answered. I'm slightly overwhelmed trying to get back into the swing of things here. So, here's a few things you should know about me as an adopter:
- I've been around here for a little over a year and have approximately 7000 edits.
- I work mostly on articles about books or authors. (which you probably already know)
- My specialty really is with article cleanup and expansion, vandalism reversion, and new page patrolling.
- I make a point of always, always, always being as courteous as possible to all users. (IP addresses included)
- My amount of time here varies by RL situations. I do tend to be busy IRL, but try to make it on every day. When I can make it on, helping other users (esp. my adoptees) is my first priority.
- I have several talk page stalkers, most of whom I think you've already met. I encourage them to participate in discussions, but they'll probably leave you alone unless I ask for their comments.
Now about adoption:
- It's not permanent. At some point when we both feel like you've learned most of what you can from me, you'll graduate.
- It doesn't make anyone look down on you as an editor. It just shows that you're new and trying not to make mistakes.
- There really aren't any requirements about involvement. We can do as much or little together as you want. I tend to follow a pretty loose method, answering questions and commenting on contributions occasionally. If you would like something more challenging (assignments, etc) just tell me and I could do that too.

Characters in Hunger Games
I know this is a bit late, but you want to make a list for the characters in the novel right? Not just an article for each character because those would probably be deleted right away. An article for a fictional character needs some kind of secondary source such as inspiration, origins, critical reception, controversy etc. See this for an example. It is not just about how the character is in the story, but also tells how the character was thought up of. A bad example would be this. Unlike the previous one, this one is all about the character in the books. Because of this, you can see how it has many tags and even one mentioning notability. So, i advise you to create something like List of Characters in the Hunger Games Trilogy. Then, if secondary sources can be found for some characters, create its own article. If you do create the list, tell me and I'll help it along as I like the series too! Hopefully I haven't overwhelmed you!Derild4921☼ 21:47, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- If you do create the list I'll be glad to help and as for referneces, just go to My Preferences/Gadgets/Editing Gadgets and check off Reftools. The next time you edit an article, just click on Insert Citation above the text box and it will show the commonly used cite templates. Click whichever applies and fill in the info. Then when you're done click Insert Citation and the Ref will be automatically inserted! I had a lot of trouble with citing things until I found that handy gadget!Derild4921☼ 00:58, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- Also, I think we should split the section up by main characters, tributes and minor characters instead. Characters that fall in both categories will only be in one, we can pick which later. What do you think?Derild4921☼ 12:21, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Navigation links
I've just gone and corrected the links in the navigation bar at the top; you were linkin to someone else's talk page. To save time, why not copy the links and image to User:Glimmer721/Navigation header, so you can then transclude it as {{User:Glimmer721/Navigation header}}. This means that you only have to change one page when you wish to add or remove something from the navigation links/image bar. BTW, it's nice to see the logo in your userspace! Thanks, Rock drum Ba-dumCrash 15:32, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Do you want to work together on the article? Currently I'm writing the themes section and will go on to the Publication history section. More awards could be found on the authors website and then just find where the website giving the award is at and use that for a ref. Derild4921☼ 14:09, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Great, so have though I think I'm back after nominating an article for GA. So can you write in a character sub-section under the Synopsis section? Just add in the main ones like Katniss, Peeta, President Snow etc. Try not to add in the tributes except maybe Finnick as he is still alive at the end. Happy editing! License tagging for File:Jeremy-Fink-cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Jeremy-Fink-cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I meant to have it as a book cover...I'll see if I can change it. --Glimmer721 (talk) 00:46, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 00:28, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Non-free files in your user space
Hey there Glimmer721, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Glimmer721/Sandbox. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.
- See a log of files removed today here.
- Shut off the bot here.
- Report errors here.

Orphaned non-free image File:HermioneStone.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:HermioneStone.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
- If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
- To opt out of these bot messages, add
{{bots|deny=DASHBot}}
to your talk page. - If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.
Thank you. DASHBot (talk) 05:39, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
