[edit]Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. You gave a reference, but it was not in-line so we can't tell what facts it is supporting.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: He is widely known... widely cited work... developed new concepts
If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it.
It's not the worse I've seen, and if you want to try again, I'll post the deleted text to a user subpage for you to work on if you wish, just let me know. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:26, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
- I'll repost a slightly edited version here shortly. I note that you have not yet indicated whether you have conflict of interest when editing this article. Make sure you put your references in the the text following the fact each supports using <ref>[url description]</ref>. Then the {{reflist}} I've added at the end will automatically generate a numbered list. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to him, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him. - Two obvious things. You don't have any wikilinks at all, I've added a few to the first sentence, but you need to go through the rest of the text. Bare urls are unhelpful as refs, replace them with <ref>[url description]</ref>
- You still haven't tidied the refs as I suggested. I've done the first one for you in case you didn't understand what I meant, please do the others. I suggest that you arrange Daly's publications in reverse order by year. If there is an existing rationale for the order, I can't see what it is. Otherwise it looks OK, so when you've finished just move it back to article space Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:03, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
