Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Girishgupta032, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Pyaari Tarawali The True Story, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello Team,
I received your message regarding concerns with my contributions. I want to address these issues and learn to contribute effectively to Wikipedia.
1. Conflict of Interest (COI): I am willing to revise the article for neutrality.
2. Username Policy: I am open to changing my username.
3. Paid Editing Disclosure: I commit to disclosing relevant information.
4. Learning and Drafting: I seek guidance on steps to improve contributions.
Thank you for your assistance. Girishgupta032 (talk) 06:33, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Girishgupta032: Thank you for replying and for committing to observe Wikipedia's policies. I don't think you need to change your username, but you do need to disclose that you are a paid editor regarding the article. I based my choice of welcome to highlight a potential COI on this statement of yours in the edit History of the article: "The image File:Pyaari Tarawali.jpg was removed, stating that it is not a copyright holder, even though all the information had already been provided beforehand. This is the official poster for our film 'Pyaari Tarawali The true story, and we own all its rights. We would like permission to use it in the image tour. Please grant us permission to rejoin it." That clearly indicates you are part of the production company for the film. Please disclose your status as a paid editor on your user account page. How to do that is found here: Wikipedia:Paid-contribution_disclosure#How_to_disclose. For example, the template to post on your user account page would look something like this in the edit view: {{paid|employer=Omsheel Production|client=Pyaari Tarawali The True Story}}, with the details changed to match the circumstances. The point is to disclose that you are making paid edits of the article Pyaari_Tarawali_The_True_Story. Geoff | Who, me? 13:51, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Pyaari Tarawali.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Pyaari Tarawali.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:30, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
