You appear to be contesting speedy deletion nominations, and then agreeing the article should be deleted. You may be confusing a "speedy deletion" with an "article for deletion". Could you please take a moment to read Wikipedia:Deletion policy. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 18:50, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Need Help!

[edit]

Hello there, recently created an article about a person named Tariq Mahmud Naim. But after creating the article with proper references I got about that person, the article moved to draft. Then I again checked the article for further references and published again. I will restore the whole article again, please remove the notice of speedy deletion criteria as the article has all the verifiable references.

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by KBM Nikhil (talkcontribs) 19:01, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@KBM Nikhil: I think Þjarkur moved the article to draft for a good reason. Consider contacting him on his talk page at User talk:Þjarkur or add a new section at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. Hope this helps. Gioguch (talk) 19:14, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed he just moved my articles to draft for improvement I created. In the comment he said the article need more sources. I probably may not have noticed. Wikipedia articles, as stated by the terms, are subjected to further contributions by Wikipedians. He was trying to assist me by his help earlier but should be corrected rather than moving it to draft. That person I created the articles got plenty of references I guess. But if it needs more, then I will add for sure.He could add "Replace source" to the citations he feels are questionable in the affected articles. This would help me make adjustments by replacing them with possible sources.

This is an independent contribution to Wikipedia and no third party influence. And thanks to you for your help.

Best regards! KBM Nikhil (talk) KBM Nikhil (talk) 19:24, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gioguch, phab tickets have no deadline for feature requests - as ones like that are worked by volunteers. Redirect talk pages

[edit]

Hi, there's no need to create talk pages of redirects. They can get in the way of maintenance: for example, if an editor visits the redirect page, they will see from the blue link in the Talk tab that a talk page exists, and they will have to check it for previous discussions or notices before taking any action with respect to the redirect; they will have wasted their time if the talk pages contains only generic templates or banners. Also, if the target article ever needs to be moved to the title of the redirect, such a talk page would block the move. In particular, the template {{Tpr}} – as its documentation makes clear – should only be used on talk pages that already have some content. – Uanfala (talk) 23:03, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Uanfala: Ok, thank you! Gioguch (talk) 01:06, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Hi--sorry, but I can't help you right now; for starters, I don't really know what you mean with a soft redirect or how I should to that. Please stop now!

[edit]

Please stop creating nonsensical redirects. You clearly don't seem to know how redirects are supposed to work. Your efforts have caused extra work for editors who have tagged them for deletion and for admins who must deleted them. If you have questions, please ask at the Teahouse. But for right now, please stop now. Liz Read! Talk! 00:49, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: Ok, for now, I will stop creating any redirects even if it might seem useful. Sorry if I created too much work for other editors and administrators. When I first started creating redirects, I would only create few and then wait to make sure that they didn't get tagged for speedy deletion. For whatever reason I thought it was useful in the time. Sorry for any problems I may have caused. --Gioguch (talk) 02:24, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Liz: Is it time for me to start fixing broken redirects and adding "R from ..." templates to redirects? Or is it still not a good time? Gioguch (talk) 02:56, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Common.css

[edit]

I noticed you seem to be using your User:Gioguch/common.css to contain all the templates (userboxes, etc.) for transclusion into your User:Gioguch user page. That's not really what it's for, and I'm unsure of the potential problems of putting non-CSS code in it, other than anything that loads it (like every page you view ) will barf on all the syntax errors since it is expecting CSS, not wikicode, and probably slow your load times. If anything happens to look like actual CSS code it could corrupt the display of pages. See CSS and WP:CSS for correct use of your common.css file. While I don't see the need to put the entire contents of your user page in a separate page and transclude it, if you really need to do that, you might put it in something like User:Gioguch/UserPage instead. I hope this helps. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 01:07, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello! Thank you for your message. I am so sorry for doing that! It was just a direct page and really empty. I am actually trying for approval of the page I made for him so I thought it would be better to have removed the direct page. I wonder why there are already stuff now. Is that a newly approved article? Because it wasn't there before I delete the redirect. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aichris (talkcontribs) 21:29, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
