October 2017: Constant revertions and edit wars
[edit]Hello Gigafan, I am IJReid. I have decided to bring the issue of your constant revertions and multiple edit wars to your talk page, in an attempt to end the edit wars for both parties involved. I am pinging to this discussion Lythronaxargestes, FunkMonk and Lusotitan, all of who have been involved in reverting your edits. We at the Dinosaur WikiProject have multiple talk and review pages in place, to try and avoid disputes over images and their accuracy. Such reviews have pointed out that the image you added to Microraptor was not entirely accurate, a point you denied multiple times. On the page Velociraptor, you keep re-adding the same image after revertions, when it has been explained that there is no room or want for a repeated image already found further down the article. On Deinonychus you began another edit war over the inclusion of an illustration by Fred Wierum replacing one by Emily Willoughby, and for the same reasons as on Velociraptor, it has been explained and reverted over and over. Most severely, on Austroraptor, you not only revert image changes, but you revert constructive edits to the article that contrast with the way you want the article to be. Please, This Has To Stop. I'm bringing all this discussion here in the hopes that it will provide a solution for us that does not include a long block for the violation of WP:3RR. I would appreciate if you, Gigafan0731, explain your reasoning for your constant revertions to articles that include the artwork by Fred, and how you would like this issue to be resolved. - While we're at it, I would also like you to demonstrate that you are not a sockpuppet of User:WelcometoJurassicPark. I'm very tempted to go ahead and open an SPI case. Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 06:24, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
