Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, GibsOfficial, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Wikipedia is not a reliable source for Wikipedia articles

[edit]

Hello GibsOfficial, thank you for your contributions to improve Wikipedia articles. Just a quick tip though: Wikipedia articles cannot be used as references themselves, because Wikipedia is not a reliable source (for example: anyone could vandalize or manipulate Wikipedia content at any time, or add false info). You can however re-use reliable external sources from other Wikipedia articles, after double-checking that they really verify the new content (see email privacy, where I tweaked your previous edit). Hope this info is helpful. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 11:11, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Privacy in education, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hacking (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
