[edit]Hi Gibrate1! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Sydney several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Sydney, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 06:35, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
Sydney Harbour upload
[edit]I've only attemped to reupload once. After user Nkon21 reverted my edit due to being "not an improvement". I stated my improvement in my undo edit. Gibrate1 (talk) 07:00, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Looks like you've now wisely started a talk-page discussion so they and others can respond without repeatedly changing the live article in the mean time. DMacks (talk) 08:39, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, Gibrate1, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that some of your recent edits show an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that ...
- ...Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- ...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- ...Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- ...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
- ...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process – at least until you get the hang of things?
