Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Gibbonsdna! Thank you for your contributions. I am TParis and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}}
at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Discover what's going on in the Wikimedia community
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! v/r - TP 20:45, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]Hi Gibbonsdna! I was going to try to email you the answer you were looking for, but it seems that email is disabled for your account. I think what you're like to do can best be done with Pywikibot. You can use it to grab the articles you want using the API and pull them down without having to know how the API works. However, if you want to interface with the API directly, the sandbox is Special:ApiSandbox. Finally, if you'd like to periodically download a copy of the database to run your own queries on, the information for that can be found here. Let me know what way you'd like to go and I can help you along further.--v/r - TP 21:22, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
