Kafka

I agree with your removal of Fitzgerald's comment that he expected Kafka to go to either the Eagles or Browns. I feel that the jersey number is somewhat relevant and the Eagles signing Elliott to compete with Kafka is relevant. I wasn't sure if I should have included the locker information at first, but I saw it on about five different news stories after, and thought it was relevant if five websites did too. The locker is only relevant because of McNabb, not because of anything Kafka did nor does it have any kind of impact on anything. Jersey numbers are seen as relevant by others but not by me so I may be biased but I think that it has no place in an article another opinion may be appropiate here if we can't decide whether or jersey numbers should be included in the prose of an article. On Elliott, we do know he was signed but we don't know for 100% that it was to compete with Kafka. If he impresses, they might trade Vick or they might put him on the practice squad as a developmental prospect. Either way, I doubt it has anything to do with Kafka. Cheers,--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 19:08, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Good points. I still think the Elliott signing should be in the article for now, and take it out if Elliott doesn't make it to training camp. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:22, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough, feel free to add it back in.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 19:23, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Joey Hamilton

Glad to edit it. Learned about a player I never even knew existed. :) Fdssdf 21:48, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Patrick Kerney

I'm curious as to why you deleted my update on Patrick Kerney. Seahawks.com is a reputable site, and now that Kerney has announced his retirement, his post-football plans are relevant to his biography on wikipedia.

But am I missing something? (Asking honestly, as other former NFL players such as Bryce Fisher http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryce_Fisher have the same MBA information on their biography).

I removed it because until he does it, all of it's speculation from a blog run by the team. His plans could change at any time so until he goes to get his MBA I believe it's best to leave it out. Feel free to bring it up at Talk:Patrick Kerney though.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 18:27, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

WikiCup 2010 May newsletter

We are half way through round 3, with a little under a month to go. The current overall leader is Hungary Sasata (submissions), who has 570 points. He leads pool C. Pools A, B and D are led by Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions), Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) and White Shadows (submissions) respectively. Anything you worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.

Two of last year's final 8, Sweden Theleftorium (submissions) and Iceland Scorpion0422 (submissions), have dropped out of the competition, saying they would rather their place went to someone who will have more time on their hands than them next round. On a related note, a special thank you goes to White Shadows (submissions) for his help behind the scenes once again. There is currently a problem with the poster, perhaps caused by the new skin- take a look at this discussion and see if you can help. The competition has continued to tick over well with minimal need for judge intervention, so thank you to everyone making that possible. Good luck to all! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
