Username discussion
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice. Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 17:39, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?
You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 15:19, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

- Reason: I misunderstood the purpose of the username. I thought it could represent the topic of the encyclopedia article. I now understand that it should represent the individual. Ghscorps (talk) 19:26, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- In order to review and assess the current block on your account and your intentions regarding editing the encyclopedia, it is important to answer the above three questions presented by Nathan2055. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 19:35, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- I understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a business directory.
- I understand conflict of interest.
- The subject is notable. asmith
- I would recommend that you read the guide to appealing blocks. It is not sufficient to merely state that you understand the the questions, but you need to demonstrate and convince administrators that the policies and guidelines are clearly understood. Also, please remember sign your comments with four tildes, i.e., ~~~~ Again, if you have questions, just ask! Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 15:05, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

My username change request is a result of a bad choice in username. My username is too closely connected to the subject about which I was planning to write an encyclopedia article. I now understand that the purpose of the username is to represent the individual author and not the topic about which the individual would like to write. The topic about which I would like to provide commentary is a notable one that would benefit the Wikipedia community. I hope that this originally poor choice in username will not prevent me from contributing to the wide breadth of knowledge available to the public through Wikipedia. asmithGhscorps (talk) 01:57, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

The article Seed Global Health has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not notable organisation. No evidence of awards, charting or in depth coverage in independent reliable sources. None of the independent references talks about the organisation at all.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 22:20, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
