The Brian Harnois Page
[edit]Hello Cyberia, I am writing to you because you keep changing back the Brian Harnois page to redirect to the TAPS page. I am putting that info up there because I AM BRIAN HARNOIS. That bio that you said I stole off of another site I WROTE for that site. That is actually part of my bio that I wrote for all conventions and lectures that I go to. I am putting the site back up and I hope you dont take it down anymore. I am not affiliated with TAPS anymore and do not wish for my page to be redirected there. Can you help me out here. I haven't been on Wiki for a long time and I want to update my page. Thank you very much, Brian Harnois Ghost Investigator (talk) 01:34, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Well Brian, problem is... how can I be sure you are who you say you are and not some schmuck pretending to be him? I could be Dave Tango for all you know. But, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Go ahead an revive the article, I won't revert you again. For the record, I only reverted you once – the other time was a bot which could revert you again, and if it does, that's out of my hands because it's not my bot. I suggest you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia policies on how to write a proper article, because what you had reads like an advertisement instead of an unbiased article about a notable person. You seem to be using it to promote yourself and that's considered spam. These articles can help you... How to edit a page, Manual of Style, Neutral point of view, What Wikipedia is not. No original research is also important, it may be lame but people who come here to write their own bios might be deleted as original research because it needs a third party source for verification. Well, good luck. I'll try and help if I can. Cyberia23 (talk) 02:17, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Brian Harnois edits
[edit]The Brian Harnois article was redirected to a related subject because the topic itself is not notable enough to warrant its own article. You are also stealing information, word-for-word, from an outside web article – in this case Big Sky Radio – and pasting it here which is a blatant violation of copyright policy. You cannot copy and paste information from an outside website without express written permission from the author or website administrator. It is plagarism, a violation of Wikipedia editing policies, and in some cases illegal. Continuing to do so, and reverting a redirected article without proper consensus will get you banned from editing Wikipedia indefinitely. Cyberia23 (talk) 00:42, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Brian Harnois has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/darthwheezy) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! The file File:Monster Mania.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Uploaded for Brian Harnois. No other use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
