[edit]Wikitext Cheatsheets
[edit]I am putting in to practice what I have learned from the Wikitext Cheatsheets.
Compared to some of the HTML I have been learning, I suppose this isn't so bad! Like mastering anything in life, it will come down to patience and practice.
Short-term goals
[edit]- Understand key markdown from the cheatsheet.
- This will give me the tools to become a better editor.
- Start small with changes to articles.
- Fix spelling and grammar.
- Add images by uploading through Wikimedia Commons.
- Fix random articles.
- Conduct basic fact-checking.
Long-term goals
[edit]- Attend monthly Wiki Club meetings.
- Get a sense of the type of edits I would like to do going forward.
- Improve citations on pages about biochemistry.
- Address stub pages for biochemical metabolites that are part of well-researched metabolic pathways.
- Update 'series' for which there are several stub articles or missing entries.
