Speedy deletion nomination of The Queen Theatre Squatters
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on The Queen Theatre Squatters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. SpikeToronto 05:21, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this recent edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from The Queen Theatre Squatters, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page Thank you. — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 04:59, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to The Queen Theatre Squatters. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 05:16, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with The Queen Theatre Squatters. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — SpikeToronto 05:28, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, The Queen Theatre Squatters. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 05:34, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with The Queen Theatre Squatters, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — SpikeToronto 06:15, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
To create an article
[edit]I see you're having problems with the process.
To create an article, you would need to have references (like newspaper, magazine articles) which specifically discussed the topic of the article you are creating.
Wikipedia is pretty strict about such things. And I know it can be frustrating. Best of luck. Proofreader77 (talk) 05:20, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, such as The Queen Theatre Squatters, you will be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:56, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of The Queen Theatre Squatters
[edit]The article The Queen Theatre Squatters has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- previously deleted, not notable
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nezzadar (speak) 01:47, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
A friendly note.
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. As you have found, the creation of new articles in Wikipedia is sometimes reversed when other editors judge that the article does not demonstrate sufficient notability, which has been the case with the The Queen Theatre Squatters article. This does not mean that we believe that the article is not true or is not newsworthy, but it is possible that the article may not meet the expected levels for significant coverage and recognition. At this point, simply recreating the article will likely only achieve a repeated deletion. Continuing to do his may be considered disruptive and could lead to a block.
As an alternative, if you still believe that the article has potential and you can demonstrate that it has more than short-term local news coverage, you can develop the article in your own area (such as in User:Germsburn/The Queen Theatre Squatters) until you believe it ready for reconsideration. At that point, it may stand a better chance of moved to the main article space and retained. If you would like to do this, let me know and I can retrieve a copy of the article(s) as they existed prior to deletion.
Whether or not you choose not to pursue this article, I hope this experience does not discourage you from finding other ways to contribute to Wikipedia. We are always looking for new editors. You an reply here or drop a note on my talk page if you have any questions or would like further assistance. Thank you. -- Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 02:13, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
