Starbucks map

[edit]

Hi Germenfer,

I really like the quality of the map File:Starbucks (Updated as of 2019).png, though I have two suggestions. I tried doing it myself, but it would take an extraordinary amount of time without the original file or better tools.

I think removing the caption at the bottom would be good, it would make the file usable in other language Wikipedias. As a second recommendation, I think the countries without Starbucks shops should be in grey, not light green, for better contrast and to better distinguish between those with and without locations. Let me know what you think! Thanks and best, ɱ (talk) 18:50, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Yeah sure. It would be better without the text or the light green countries. I'll redoit soon. Thanks for the feedback! :) Germenfer (talk) 19:46, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! ɱ (talk) 16:26, 28 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

Hi, I was developing several flag galleries (commons:Historical_flags), (commons:Flags_of_micronations), (commons:Flags_of_Aboriginal_peoples_of_Canada)

and and many files are of very bad quality. You could correct them sometime.

- Anguilla (1967) [1]

- Zaporizhian Sich

- Catholic and Royal Army

- Captaincy General of Puerto Rico

- Ajaigarh State

- Chamba State

- Chola dynasty

- Shap-ng-tsai

Microntions

- Aeterna Lucina ([2])

- Waveland

There are more bad files there, but these look the worst. If you don't do it, I'll look for someone else.

Sure, I would love to! I still have limited vectorisation skills, but I'll do my best (and I think will help improve my skills).

Here is the list of flags to vectorize, collected from pages that I have recently corrected. I do not include micronations [3]. I wish you a pleasant improvement of your skills.

Template Edit Proposals

[edit]

I pospose the country data templates of Mayotte, Guadeloupe, Saint Barthélemy, Martinique, and Réunion to be updated in order to more accurately portray the current flags that represent said territories, by either adding the following flags as "variants", or by replacing the current flags shown by the following:

Saint Barthélemy: Why is it innacurate? The flag shown in the template is outdated (), as the actual flag contains the text "ILE DE SAINT-BARTHÉLEMY" ().

Reunion: Why is it innacurate? The flag shown in the template is the Lö Mavéli flag (), an unofficial flag proposal, when it should be the flag of the Regional Council of Reunion (File:Flag of Réunion (Local).png).

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Underground EP - D12 (CD Cover).png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Underground EP - D12 (CD Cover).png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:25, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ross Island Yacht Club Antarctica requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. TNLA flag

[edit]

Hi Germenfer, I really like the work you did with the flag of the Ta'ang National Liberation Army in Myanmar File:Flag of the Ta'ang National Liberation Army.svg. However I noticed that this flag seems to be more specifically the flag of its political wing, the Palaung State Liberation Front, and that the TNLA has a flag of its own, which consist of two curved white swords crossing on a red background, as can be seen here or here. Do you think you could design such a flag ? Unfortunately I don't have the time nor the skills to do so. I thank you in advance. Khiêm1 (talk) 00:13, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
