Speedy deletion of Transit Lounge
[edit]A tag has been placed on Transit Lounge requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Transit Lounge. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Tanthalas39 (talk) 23:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Basic editing rules in Wikipedia
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. As you are a newbie here, kindly note the following guidelines in order to avoid any unnecessary disputes or frustration in future:
- Adding content without citing a reliable source, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Material that is unsourced or poorly sourced will be reverted or removed by other editors or administrators later. Read here for help on citing sources.
- No edit summary: This is considered an important guideline. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you amend or delete any content; otherwise, people may question your motives for the edit i.e. likely vandals or trolls.
- Do ensure that the tone or style of your edits is appropriate for Wikipedia. Neutral point of view is one of the five pillars of Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
- Wikipedia is not a directory for commercial advertising. Read WP:Spam and WP:EL. If you feel very strongly that your edits are suitable for inclusion, bring it up at the article talk page for further discussion, but do not revert your edits again. Doing so with a lack of consensus is seen as disruptive editing, and you may be blocked.
- Possible conflict of interest: If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, whereby an editor must forego advancing the aims of Wikipedia in order to advance outside interests, that editor stands in a conflict of interest. COI edits are strongly discouraged. When they cause disruption to the encyclopedia in the opinion of an uninvolved administrator, they may lead to accounts being blocked and embarrassment for the individuals and groups who were being promoted.
- Do not make personal attacks anywhere in Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor. Personal attacks will not help you make a point nor receive a positive response; they hurt the Wikipedia community (everyone here are volunteers), and deter users from helping to create a good encyclopedia.
Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to experiment & do remember to sign your name on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. -- Aldwinteo (talk) 00:14, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Toni Jordan
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Toni Jordan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 04:25, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]The article Keith Butler (author) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not appear to meet relevant notability guidelines. Unable to find any coverage of this Keith Butler (as opposed to the unrelated authors Keith C. Butler, a gay American writer, or Keith A. Butler, an American bishop).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Moriwen (talk) 15:02, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
