{{helpme]] Dear hammer - I own this publication Rez Biz for one. My name is on it George Joe. I have looked at other publications presently on the widipedia which gives the mission and goals of the publication so I don;t see why I can't do that.

{{helpme}} I added some information. I hope you don;t delete. This was from the original page and only provides background information. The journalism awards can be found from the Native American Journalism Association web site at www.naja.com - year 2007.

Also, the basic info and goals of the site are the same in the newspaper stories.

The edits you made look ok to me. No need to ask for help when you make constructive edits. Happy editing! I'll add a helpful welcome template below. xenocidic (talk) 02:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. I posted alot of informtion to the rez_biz page and now it is all gone. I sourced it well also with studies by harvard and the notable people. I spent 5 hours writing this information as this information does not exist anywhere on wikupedia.

2. How can i get some of that information back for my own purposes. I wanted to save it for myself. Please send back to me if you will not allow it to be posted.

If you review the history of the article [1] here, you can view old revisions. The most recent revision before the removal of the text is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rez_Biz&oldid=220095946 . cheers, xenocidic (talk) 14:22, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed most of the information that you added because it was copied word for word from the Rez Biz website and there was no proof that you own the copyright. Some more of the information was unfocused, dealing more with the lifestyles of the Native American than the magazine itself. We already have articles dealing with the struggles of the Native American; the information doesn't need to be repeated in the Rez Biz article as it's, in a way, using Wikipedia as a soapbox. Also, you can get back the information by looking at the diff. Finally, new posts go to the bottom of a talk page, so I moved this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TenPoundHammer (talkcontribs) 14:24, June 18, 2008 (UTC)

1. How do i prove to you that I own the copyright so that I can add the mission & goals information. You have allowd the "National Congress of American Indians" to post their mission.???

George, what you are doing represents a conflict of interests. You really should not be writing the articles about organizations/publications you own for. xenocidic (talk) 17:50, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see. It is true, but if I don;t write it then people won;t know about it. I guess i could get someone else to talk to you all about it. At least i am legitimate and real and straight forward.

Yes, it's best to wait for someone else to write the article. Best regards, xenocidic (talk) 18:11, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

today is the day number four since i created this user name but i still can't upload an image. Also, where are the instructions on uploading an image to "rez biz"

You might have to wait a short while longer before it becomes active. For instructions on how to upload images and place them in articles, have a look at WP:UPI. Hope this helps, Gazimoff WriteRead 14:51, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} I am ready to upload a graphic. I found the verabage that releases copyright. It is below. What do i do now. how do i upload to the "rez biz" page I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible, I grant any entity the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.

Hi! You can go to Wikipedia:Upload, and follow the wizard there. :D That should guide you through the process :-) Stwalkerstertalk ] 21:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:June-richard2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 01:00, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You need to use the following rationale: {{Non-free magazine cover}} in the summary for the picture, and fill out the fields. You have to explain why it is OK to be used in the article it is used in. But note that magazine covers can only be used in the article for that magazine. Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 01:21, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:July2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:July2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:17, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:June-richard3.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:June-richard3.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
