Welcome to Wikipedia, George Richard Leeming! I am Razimantv and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Umar Mutallab. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Acts of Union 1800, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

Hi,

This is with regard to your page move. Are you sure what you did is correct? In the talk page someone has claimed that his actual name is Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. And Abdul literally means "slave of/servant of". So it is not Mutallab that is his last name. What you have done is- practically - move Umar Farouk, servant of Mutallab to Umar Mutallab. Please have a look at the talk page and reconsider.

Thanks and best wishes -- Raziman T V (talk) 16:55, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't know. I just happened to see your move by chance. I see that it has been reverted already once due to lack of discussion on the talk page. What I think is that the father's name should also be written as Umaru Abdul Mutallab. Anyways, what I think does not matter. It will be good if you give a message on the article talk page explaining your move. Otherwise someone may revert it again. Best wishes -- Raziman T V (talk) 17:13, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a reliable source that states that "Abdulmutallab" is not correct? As Talk:Umar_Mutallab#Correct_Version_of_his_Name_2 is showing, all of the sources so far are using "Abdulmutallab" as his name. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:07, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:00, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission C. A. Campbell

[edit]

Hello George Richard Leeming. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled C. A. Campbell.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/C. A. Campbell}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 15:34, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
