COI

[edit]

You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:George Klaudiny. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=George Klaudiny|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Also read the following regarding writing an article

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:21, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

More

[edit]

Thanks for your message, but please read what I posted before. You have not replied to my COI request, nor do you appear to have understood the section on copyright. The deletion notice makes it clear that the reason for deletion is that text was copied from non-free sites as listed in the notice. For legal reasons, we cannot host text which isn't free to use for any purpose, including commercial.

Secondly, the article was full of unsourced opinions, rather than properly referenced facts, examples include This image is an enigma because its author has never explained it... the Finnish population’s favourite painting... like a catharsis for her.... It questions the mysteries of the human soul, of death and the existence of angels... Melancholy, hope, humanism and nordic shamanism come together to resolve the enigma of The Wounded Angel... a painting that provokes discussion about art, passion, death, evilness, the existence of angels and ultimately hope —, we don't want your opinions, copied opinions or a personal review of the article, we need verifiable facts such as it winning the Jussi awards.

Not all your references are suitable either: An investigation which collects confessions and symbolist visions is sourced to Unifrance, but that seems to be just an anonymous personal review itself, with no actual facts in that section. For reception, aggregate sites like Rotten Tomatoes are best

The film is probably notable, so once you have clarified any COI, we may be able to find a way forward. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:28, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you were an employee of an associated company, involved in making, distributing or promoting the film, or undertaking any role which could lead to financial gain, you are required to post on your user page as above
If you have a non-financial COI, for example being a friend of someone in the film, in the interests of transparency you should state that on the article talk page. If you are claiming to have no connection, just reply on my talk page or ping me here.
As far as I can see, all the copyright and other problems arose in the plot section. Once the COI issue is clear, I could restore as a draft without that section, which would save you some work Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:20, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've restored at the original draft title and tweaked it a bit for MoS etc. Note that other problems may still remain, and it will need to be resubmitted for review again when you are ready Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:13, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You still haven't read my previous posts. You have added more opinions, and the only source you added was unsuitable and didn't even support the text you referenced it with. I'm not going to keep on saying this, please don't persist in ignoring our guidelines and my advice, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:58, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The plot section isn't required to have references, but it must describe what a viewer sees or hears, not what emotions he or she feels, nor what opinion they have. Take your time with this. Have a look at Aitraaz. It's a Featured Article, so you don't need that standard, but it may help with style and structure Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:57, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
