Multiple MOS violations

[edit]

Hi, your recent contributions have introduced numerous edits that violate the Manual of Style. Please note that Wikipedia uses logical quotation per MOS:LQ. Also, some of your edits (such as this one) have introduced piping just to italicise the wikilink; WP:NOPIPE advises against unnnecessary piping, and there is no advantage to moving the formatting to inside the wikilink and creating a pipe just to accommodate it. It would be advisable to read through some of the links in the "Welcome" template above before embarking on another editing spree. Betty Logan (talk) 06:39, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022

Information icon Hello, I'm Kpddg. I noticed that you recently removed content from Kaitlyn Dever without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Kaitlyn Dever, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. I have reverted your edits to Stede Bonnet for several reasons. You added a day and month to the birth date of Bonnett without providing a citation to a reliable source for that date. You changed the link to Bridgetown to Bridgetown, Barbados, which is a redirect to Bridgetown. Per the Manual of Style at MOS:SEAOFBLUE, the link in the form Bridgetown, Barbados is preferred. You changed Charles Town, South Carolina to Charleston, South Carolina, which is an anachronism. You also changed the format of one date to the form used in the US from the form used in most other countries, although all other dates in the article use the non-US form, and Bonnet's life and career were primarily in the West Indies. Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers#Dates, months, and years for how dates should be styled in Wikipedia articles. - Donald Albury 15:32, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Clukowiak per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Clukowiak. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: .  -- RoySmith (talk) 02:10, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
