[edit]How to add it to the delete section? You mentioned that I should list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion but I don't see where to list sites for deletion. Additionally, the notability warning has been there for almost a year. There's no debate about it because it's not notable. AstralisLux (talk) 15:12, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Almost all the information in the entry is wrong and therefore the references are wrong. The notability warning has been on the site for a year. Either that should be removed or the page be deleted. I think everything points to the page being deleted. AstralisLux (talk) 17:57, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Blender edit...
[edit]Like your notes... but want to create an article. You are restricting my intent.
Good work, but... you take out extent for expression. Hope you understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jambay (talk • contribs) 09:50, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, I like Blender too, but one of the rules for Wikipedia articles is that they must have a neutral point of view. The way you worded the article was too much like advertising - see WP:NOTADVERTISING. Thanks! --George100 (talk) 10:58, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
Working on NPOV. Looks like most, if not all, of my edits are deemed "inappropriate". Will refrain from further updates until agreed to by "editors" :)
Sorry for any misunderstanding.

The article Cumulus (software) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article is unsourced, and appears to be written like an advertisement. Article tagged as "Citation Needed" since May 2009.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AndrewN talk 18:42, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Dear, thank you for adding new section in Carlin Romano's entry
[edit]I really appreciate your contribution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cinacina123 (talk • contribs) 17:31, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. It struck me that I haven't seen an academic's article without a writings section. --George100 (talk) 23:17, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
When a Writing section is redundant
[edit](1) If a page is primarily about a writer's writing and about why that writing is notable and (2) if a book is described in the body of the page, under a different section and (3) if the writer's career has consisted primarily of being a journalist and not an academic,
then should the title of the book be repeated in a Writing section?
I'm asking because my intuition is that such repetition is not only unnecessary, but oddly inconsistent since all the other writing titles are not repeated.
Thanks for your consideration. Philebritite (talk) 16:58, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- I think it's useful to include a writing section in order to have an itemized list of the author's works. Romano is unusual in that he's only written one book (and edited a second, Philadelphia Noir), but I am currently looking for additional items to include in the section that would be representative of his work. --George100 (talk) 22:11, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Attention: WikiProject African diaspora participants
[edit]Hello fellow project participants. Not sure how many users are still active as normal Wikipedia editors but felt the need to attempt to get a gauge on who can be called on for help with articles falling under the umbrella of the African diaspora project. According to the project's article table there are over six thousand articles related to the African diaspora; there's not a hundred at FA/GA grade and there's over twelve hundred that are unassessed. With Wikipedia being one of the major information reference points in the world today we should consider this unacceptable. Much work needs to be done on the rating of the importance of articles as well. With more communication amongst participants and a dedication to addressing the articles on the to-do list I believe we can make this WikiProject one of the most well organized and thorough on the site. If you are interested in collaborative work with some of your fellow project members, have certain expertise on any particular subjects, ideals on/about the WikiProject, etc. simply drop your name under the "Project revision" section I've created on the project's talk page and state your intentions and main points of interest in our WikiProject and we can attempt to move forward from there. Hoping to hear from everyone soon! WikiGuy86 (talk) 03:22, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Help with the National Memo article
[edit]Dear George, I noticed that back in 2013 you edited Joe Conason article so I assume that you know the field. I kindly ask you to take a look at the The National Memo article. It has been undergoing dramatic edits and I ask for your assistance in editing/improving the article.
I while ago I was asked to make several minor edits to the article as paid editor. At that time the article had minimal content and was no more than a stub. I’ve added some information following the structure of such articles as Salon (website), HuffPost, Politico adding infobox, improving categories and adding some well-referenced info. The article started to look like a normal website/media article. After that it got heavily edited in two waves by editors deleting large chunks of well-written (ok, my personal view :)) and well-referenced information. I believe that some of these edits/deletions are extraneous and actually make the article worse/less useful to Wikipedia users. I also believe that The National Memo article has an undisputable notability. There is an interesting discussion about this at the article’s Talk page.
A lot of what is going all around this article is plain nonsense. So if you are interested in the subject / in improving the article, please take a look at January 10th version or January 29th version. Also if you have any suggestions on improving the article, please share. Thank you in advance. -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 15:32, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

- Thank you. I hope common sense will finally rule over this article :) -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 18:58, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
- I've also created a topic about it at Project Journalim following the advice from Nbauman. -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 08:17, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi. Please check my recent proposed edits to the article and comment on them here. They are reasonable and neutral. Thank you. -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 17:42, 7 February 2018 (UTC)

AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!
[edit]Greetings!
After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section.
On English Wikipedia, we would be recognizing participants in the following manner:
- Overall winner (1st, 2nd, 3rd places)
- Diversity winner
- Gender-gap fillers
For further information about the contest, the recognition categories and how to participate, please visit the contest page here. For further inquiries, please leave comments on the contest talkpage or on the main project talkpage. See you around :).--Jamie Tubers (talk) 00:50, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
