[edit]Hi Gemini, I've left a note on your fr:wiki page. If you'd like to reply, please do so on my page in en:wiki. Thanks, Ericoides (talk) 09:37, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for your message. It seems a very murky area, but these two sources (Thomas Graham Brown and the Alpine Journal) are as reliable as any. Ericoides (talk) 17:39, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- I see that Hadrien has changed it back to Eccles. He must give a reference. I have rv'd his edit and would suggest that this is getting boring. Ericoides (talk) 10:16, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Ober-/ Unter-Aargletscher
[edit]Hello Gemini,
as nobody before me has used your German talk page (in French), I don't know, if you watch it.
So you get my letter also in English:
- It is not just to withdraw proofs.
- You ought to search for "glacier inférieur de l'Aar" as well as for "glacier de l'Aar inférieur" by Google:
- "glacier inférieur de l'Aar" is not empty-
- Even if you ask for "glacier de l'Aar inférieur", Google offers several "glacier de l'Aar inférieur".
Therefore, the correlation of the German names to the real landscape as well as that old map that I've found looking for official maps drawn before the construction of Grimselsee and Oberaarsee, as well as various texts support my edits.--Ulamm (talk) 21:36, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
In the first edition of the famous Siegfried Map, there is an "Oberaar" but no "Unteraar", as Oberaar (different from all other flowing waters neigther classified as a Fl(uss) = fleuve nor as a B(ach) = riveau; in modern maps it is called Oberaarbach) enters Aare Fluss at the same site where that river is released by the Unteraargletscher. See here.--Ulamm (talk) 23:22, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Select Survey Invite
[edit]I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
Your survey Link: https://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_4ZK59iDwnrDalMN&Q_CHL=gl
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 12:36, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
