Link Spam for Nanohub
[edit]I've noticed that you've gone through a whole bunch of pages related to crystal band structures and added an advertisement for nanohub.org to the external links section. This is Wikipedia:Spam, and I've removed your links. Let me quote some of the relevant passages from the Spam policy:
- If you're here to tell readers how great something is, or to get exposure for an idea or product that nobody's heard of yet, you're in the wrong place.
- Adding the same link to many articles. The first person who notices you doing this will go through all your recent contributions with an itchy trigger finger on the revert button. And that's not much fun.
- If your product is truly relevant to an article, others will agree—try the talk page.
If nanohub presents valuable, relevant information for a particular article, other editors will add the link for you. If you want to make editors aware of a page, you can let them know on the talk page for an article---if they agree it is relevant, they will add it for you.
