Information icon Hello, I'm Nath1991. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Joel Chianese, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi Nath 1991

[edit]

Nathan, if you check social media you will see the agent controlling the move, who has posted on @socstoppagetime about the move

Soccer Stoppage Time have proven to be a incredibly unreliable source. According to their twitter, they're claiming he's now going to Malaysia. At best they pass off rumours as facts on an all too often basis. Until a reputable source comes out with the news, Chianese's page should not be edited. Nath1991 (talk) 04:00, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is for you to judge, each to the their own, but you cannot say the source is "unreliable". Until is proven incorrect, then this is the update on his career and should not be changed, as it is clear he is no longer with state league side anymore.

Whilst you're at it, you've got his shirt number wrong at Bonnyrigg, you've got his goals at Sydney United wrong, you've also got his height stats wrong. So stop amending the article to reflect incorrect information. Simple as that.

I understand you're new to Wikipedia. So I'm going to recommend you have a read of Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, and more importantly WP:SOURCES. When editing a WP:BLP, you must use reliable sources (please read WP:RELIABLE and WP:VERIFY for further information). Reliable sources can be in the form of reputable News articles. Twitter is not a reliable source. SoccerStoppageTime falls under the category of Questionable/Unreliable sources. Just last week they got the Australian football media community into a frenzy after incorrectly reporting that there was big controversial news coming out of the Brisbane Roar, only for it to be revealed as nothing more than a hoax. Chianese may be heading to New Zealand, or Malaysia, or Bangladesh for all we know, and can prove. So until a reputable source can prove that Chianese has moved on, I shall continue to revert your edits.

Also, remember to sign your comments using the 4 tildes.

You going to fix the information now? Now that the news is official.

Made a fool of yourself really trying to be tough about it all. Sometimes you just hVe to accept you're wrong and let the truth be put out there. Nath1991 (talk) 05:06, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
