Providing sources

[edit]

Please read our verifiability policy. In particular note that sources must be supplied for any item that is challenged. Also, please read our guideline on common knowledge. -- Donald Albury 22:31, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that many things need to be cited, but I feel you have a tendency to overcite. I didn't add back quantatative things (ie demographic numbers) that were not cited. I merely added back the obvious if you live in South Florida. The tri-county is considered one metropolitan area--it is 'common knowledge' or common sense that all 3 airports are used, or that we use Interstate 95. Additionally, even though you may not use colloquialisms like calling Miami--the MIA, it is very popular nationally to call cities by their airport names---Atlanta recently used ATL in some of their tourism campaigns.

Most of the time I think your edits are excellent, but sometimes you do need to consider the information of other editors (and maybe not write so harshly). Thanks. GatorFTL 10:32 28 November 2006

Thanks for experimenting with the page South Florida metropolitan area on Wikipedia. Your recent edit appears to have added obviously incorrect information and has been reverted or removed. All information in our encyclopedia must be verifiable. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
