  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pakistan national cricket team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Haroon Rashid. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please stop the bias in Anwar ul Haq Kakar page. The allegations are a fact. Allegations do not have to be true but it is a fact that the subject is controversial. Refrain from political biasness. Captain1212 (talk) 11:24, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi War Wounded, please do not re-add File:New2008 PFFlogo.png to Pakistan national football team, as it was determined that this file should not be used in said article as per this FfD. Comments request

[edit]

Hi @War Wounded I typically refrain from doing so, but given that my opposing editor has involved another editor (User talk:Saqib#Comments_request) to comment on the issues below, I'd like to request your valued opinion on the following matters at hand.

Stop reverting referenced content

[edit]

War Wounded, you have been reported before to ANI, and if you repeat your actions then this could result in a block. HistoriesUnveiler (talk) 10:30, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Give your phony threats to someone else, not me. I'm not afraid of ANI. It won't alter my stance. War Wounded (talk) 12:43, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No one is threatening you. You are welcome to edit. We simply want to ensure that nothing is censored. This is not your PTV. --Saqib (talk) 14:27, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
War Wounded, this is your last warning! or else I have to request a block due to WP:CIR-related issues. HistoriesUnveiler (talk) 19:43, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of military rigging

[edit]

If you persist in deleting the line that reads the military's involvement in rigging the election, you may find yourself facing scrutiny at the Administrators' Noticeboard. There are numerous well-sourced paras in the section titled Analyses indicating the military's role in the rigging, and thus, it is imperative that this information be included in the lead. Tagging pages for speedy deletion

[edit]

Hello, War Wounded,

You need to be very careful when tagging articles for speedy deletion. I had to revert some of your taggings because of incorrect tagging. For criteria CSD G5, this is not because an editor is a sockpuppet. Editors don't necessarily get blocked for being a sockpuppet. This criteria is for "block evasion" of the sockmaster. So, when tagging an article, in the G5 field, you need to add the username of the sockmaster, not an accused sockpuppet. This is also because SPI cases are filed under the name of the sockmaster, not all of the sockpuppets. So, if an editor has a question about the article deletion, they will want to go look at the SPI case so the deletion rationale has to have the name of the sockmaster listed on it, not the editor who was recently blocked. And, at least for me, when I review tagged articles, the sockpuppet has to be confirmed in an SPI case or by a checkuser, it can't be based on suspicion.

I hope this makes sense. If you have further questions about the different CSD criteria, I encourage you to bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:06, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Who says it's not a reliable source? Show some evidence to the contrary, or else you should seek clarification at WP:RSN to determine if this meets the criteria of a reliable source. It's better to discuss before simply removing the sourced material just because you don't like it. Saqib (talk) 18:48, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) @Saqib The source you're citing appears to be a blog post hosted by an Indian propaganda outlet focused on monitoring the Pakistan Army, and it's worth noting that this is a BLP article. We don't necessarily need to resort to WP:RSN for every instance; as experienced editors, we should also rely on our editorial judgment. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 19:27, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I typically refrain from using blogs in BLPs. In this case, the source in question doesn't appear to be a blog, nor does it seem to be a propaganda website. However, if there are concerns regarding its reliability, I suggest bringing it up for discussion at RSN. --Saqib (talk) 19:39, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_429#The_Pak_Military_Monitor. --Saqib (talk) 19:41, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think that was a fully thought out conclusion. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 19:45, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that the discussion was quite brief. However, I insist on reopening the discussion at RSN. Additionally, I'd like to ask @War Wounded , if they believe this source (The Pak Military Monitor) is not reliable, why did they also remove the Friday Times source? Do they believe it's also an Indian propaganda website? --Saqib (talk) 19:48, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
However, the uninvolved editor's advice was to exercise "caution" when using that source, and their last comment suggested it's "probably" reliable. With such ambiguity, it's questionable whether it should be included in a BLP article. In my view, "caution" implies refraining from using it in a BLP article, and if used elsewhere, it should be accompanied by proper attribution. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 20:48, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have made my point clear, and I again insist on taking this matter to RSN for further discussions. Though I will actively participate in the discussion there. --Saqib (talk) 21:05, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@SheriffIsInTown: I am reinstating the content, and I insist that you take the matter to RSN if you believe it shouldn't be used on BLPs. Until then, you cannot remove it, labeling it as a blog hosted by an Indian propaganda outlet.--Saqib (talk) 12:13, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Saqib You do not own this space, a consensus to not use the source outside of WP:RSN is also a consensus. Two editors here are telling you to not use that source then on WP:RSN, there was no conclusion that the source is reliable. Additionally, you have been advised at WP:ANI to not use the source in a BLP article or use caution doing that, I suggest you revert yourself as you are in minority and open the discussion again at WP:RSN if you think the source is reliable as editors opinion on other forums is leaning against your opinion.
