Hi, please don't remove Kim's amateur record. If you know of any other fighters who have one (and that is verifiable, such as Kim's is) please add it to their page. Thanks, --aktsu (t / c) 18:38, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Again please don't remove it. It is verifiable and as much part of his career as his pro fights. If you know the amateur record on other fighters please feel free to add it. See Ryan Couture for another fighter who's amateur record is listed (though he's not currently a pro fighter, the point is that his record is known). --aktsu (t / c) 18:50, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- "Amateur records only count for when the fighter is an amateur lol, and i know plenty of fighters amateur records, theres just no reason for adding them." Why is there no reason to add it? It it part of his career as a fighter. His amateur career doesn't disappear the moment he become pro. Do you also think amateur wrestlers college careers should be removed from their articles if they go to the Olympics? --aktsu (t / c) 19:00, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- "Who says the fight didn't happen ? What does that have to do with showing an amateur record on a professional page ?". It isn't a "professional page", it is an article on Kim's life, not just one part of it. --aktsu (t / c) 19:03, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- "Not about his life"? The name of the article isn't "Kim Dong-hyun's professional MMA career", it's "Kim Dong-hyun". I think you're maybe misunderstanding the purpose of an encyclopaedia. This isn't supposed to be a mirror of Sherdog's Fight Finder. --aktsu (t / c) 19:13, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're basically saying all info not directly related to a person's current status should be removed from articles? All "personal life"-sections, everything about what they did before what they do now etc? Nothing about a minor league career if someone's playing in the MLB, nothing about a college football career if someone's playing in the NFL? --aktsu (t / c) 19:21, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
