[edit]Re Mac Harb
I am guessing you interpreted an edit removing a name as vandalism when in fact the opposite is the case.
It may be the case that that literally was the birth name, but for privacy reasons the subject prefers that it not be used. We don't automatically defer to what the subject wants, but per our privacy policy Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons#Presumption_in_favor_of_privacy:
Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. (emphasis added)
There might be one source but it's not online so I can't view it but one source falls far short of widely published. Please do not attempt to reinstate without opening up a discussion, either with me or on the talk page although for obvious reasons do so without using the name.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:20, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you, Sphilbrick. I have reviewed the policy you linked to and have concluded that it does not apply in this case. The name is published in two credible sources, both available online: one, an official police document filed with a court and the other a history of the Senate by a respected historian. They have been cited in footnotes to previous edits, which the subject continues to remove, either personally or through a proxy, without ever denying the truth of his birth name. Concerns about privacy compromising personal security or private information, as described in the privacy policy, do not appear to apply here. Gallus Meg (talk) 05:32, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
