The Little Mermaid's trailer -- the most-disliked Hollywood trailer on YouTube
[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Little Mermaid (2023 film), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mike Allen 01:24, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- I did! I cited a source -- this page List of most-disliked YouTube videos. Are you calling Wikipedia an unreliable source? Gahipaj135 (talk) 01:29, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Ummmmmmmmm yes absolutely. Also that page is a trainwreck as YouTube hasn't counted votes in almost 2 years. Mike Allen 01:34, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- YouTube still counts dislikes as it always has, it just now hides the number of dislikes from the viewers. You can install a browser add-on (like for example "Return YouTube Dislikes" extension on Firefox desktop) to be able to view the number of dislikes for each video. It is absolutely verifiable from its source any time you want. Gahipaj135 (talk) 01:40, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- So all of that is based on a browser add-on that random people look up and add to the page? That's WP:OR. Mike Allen 01:45, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Well, tell that to this page List of most-disliked YouTube videos then. :) I didn't do any original research. I just linked the two wikipedia pages together (the list page and The Little Mermaid movie page). Gahipaj135 (talk) 01:50, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, I can change the wording of my sentence to "it has become one of the most-disliked movie trailers" instead of just "the most". Can we agree on this? Again, the actual number of dislikes is verifiable to anyone anytime on the very YouTube video page with the help of the browser add-ons. Gahipaj135 (talk) 02:12, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Can you find a third party reliable source that says this? Mike Allen 02:14, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- I've got https://www.newsweek.com/little-mermaid-support-after-trailer-attacked-online-trolls-1-5-million-dislikes-disney-1742922, and https://www.piratesandprincesses.net/little-mermaid-trailer-earns-most-dislikes-for-any-hollywood-film/, and https://cosmicbook.news/little-mermaid-trailer-disliked-oblivion-youtube. - Probably would be better to bring it up on the article's talk page to get a better discussion going. Mike Allen 02:28, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
