[edit]Hi Gaga germanotta, I noticed these edits. The field "partner(s)" is not a valid field of Template:Infobox musical artist and will not show up on the page (plus, the information about her partner isn't sourced in the body of the article). In addition, The Fame Monster is regarded as a major release, hence its inclusion in the discography section. Please use the talk page if you disagree. Thank you. - I have to agree with you here. Your edits to the article looked helpful, and I certainly wouldn't call them vandalism. We have a strict definition of vandalism on Wikipedia, and your edits fall short of it by a long way. IndianBio, perhaps you could tell us what you disagreed with about Gaga germanotta's edits to the article? This sounds like a misunderstanding to me, and can probably be cleared up with a little dialogue. Also, this kind of discussion is probably best at Talk:Lady Gaga discography, so that other editors who watch the article will see it. Best — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 11:28, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, now I understand - there are a handful of certifications on the page, but the list isn't complete. You (Gaga germanotta) were trying to add more certifications, but the other editors kept removing them. Lists like this don't have to be complete, as they would get very long if we included every single one. It looks like the editors at the article found a consensus just to include 10. IndianBio, could you give us a link to that discussion, if you can find it? Reading it would probably help Gaga germanotta understand the issues here better. It might be a good thing to put in an FAQ at the top of the article's talk page as well if you can get agreement for that. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 11:46, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- Well, yes, but every album or song has 10 certifications or less, never more than ten. Gaga germanotta(talk)12:53, 9 January 2014(UTC)
- Gaga germanotta, if you would have read your talk page, and the history of Lady Gaga discography, the editors reverting your addition have mentioned it clearly that only certifications pertaining to the ten countries listed are added in the discography. Main reason being this is an overall list of an artist's performance in the major music markets listed. Not all certifications are needed here as that makes it a hagiography rather than give an overall view. You can see any FL for discographies and check it. Again, germanotta, please read why your addition was reverted. It would have answered your query much earlier. I would have understood if no one had mentioned anything, however failure to do so and continuing to add it seemed disruptive and hence the warning. To add again, WP:DISCOGSTYLE specifically mentions this "In the case of multiple charts, "comprehensive" does not necessarily mean an exhaustive list of countries and charts the artist has charted on. A limit of approximately 10 separate charts is suggested, using any combination of country, component, or competing charts. There is no set inclusion criteria for which charts should and shouldn't be included, but a good rule of thumb is to go by the relative success of the artist on that chart". Correspondingly certifications are also for those nations. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 12:24, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, so I can list only those certifications which were earned in the countries for which Wiki shows chart peaks, in Gaga's case, only United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and France? Gaga germanotta(talk)14:31, 9 January 2014(UTC)

- Okay, thank you very much. Can I ask you for help about something? If some of the certifications are announced only by Twitter(music association's Twitter profiles), is it enough to put link from Twitter on Wikipedia? Or I need link from association's websites? Thank you.Gaga germanotta(talk)16:18, 9 January 2014(UTC)
Twitter isn't usually considered reliable enough to use as citations for Wikipedia, so yes, you would need a link from the associations' websites, or maybe a reference from a newspaper or a book. - What is my personal analysis??? If song sold 2,000,000 copies in the USA, than it's 2x Platinum, because 1,000,000 sales are certified platinum(RIAA rules). So what is here my personal analysis? Gaga germanotta(talk)8:33, 10 January 2014(UTC)
- It is indeed your personal analysis. You know very well that the certifying body has not updated the certifications and it is the onus of the recording company to update certification. It is not automatic. You added non-existing certifications for "Applause" in not one, but two places altogether but not checking if RIAA.com has updated her certifications or not. This is your original research and is forbidden in the website. The above links also showed that you updated the certification of "Poker Face" from 5× Platinum to 7× Platinum when again RIAA has not updated it.
