Auckland Zoo
[edit]Thank you for work on the above page... The book "A Tiger by the Tail" states that after rescue from Turvey the man was taken to the first aid section of the zoo where the knives were seen before running off... Is it possible your father forgot this part of the event..?
Regards, ZoofanNZ (talk) 06:43, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi ZoofanNZ. Dad and I talked about the event at some length (specifically, from my point of view, in relation to that entry in the wikipedia). I know you have a third party reference in terms of Derek's book and I am (effectively) doing original research so in wikipedian terms you have the better of the argument! At the end of the day it's a small point and I certainly wont revert it if you put the comment back in.
As a kid I lived at the zoo from 1968 until 1978 next to the Old Mill Road Road entrance and spent many happy hours in it. Gacole (talk) 02:12, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
It is a small point but accuracy is the name of the game and what better source than a living memory of someone so closely involved..! Must have been great living there... Thanks again, ZoofanNZ (talk) 00:01, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Eden Garden has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Notability has not been established since it was questioned in September 2008. All footnote sources appear to be dead.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 10:12, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
