User talk:GaTech-1101
Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. This account seems to have been used by a class at a university. You may be in violation of the suggested guidelines at Wikipedia:School and university projects. You should review these guidelines before proceeding with further contributions to Wikipedia, particularly numbers 2 (which requests introductions) and 9 (regarding original research). Thank you for your concern. -User:Fennec (はさばくのきつね) 01:08, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
I'd also like to welcome your class to Wikipedia, but I need to point out another rule. Shared accounts are not allowed here. The students who are editing Wikipedia should each be encouraged to sign up for their own accounts, rather than editing from the shared "GaTech-1101" account. Thank you, and happy editing. Students will be creating user accounts to edit the entry. I'll remind them to create individual accounts as they are working in small groups. I've used the name GaTech-1101 to indicate collective authorship of the article. GaTech-1101 is thus not a shared account--as the instructor I'm the only one that has the pw. I've read the guidelines, sorry I didn't do so before and it appears that we are in compliance with them. We've looked at Wikipedia (though forgot about the rules a bit) and we drafted the entry on our own test site. User:GaTech-1101
