Orphaned non-free image File:MegaMan3USBoxShotPC.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:MegaMan3USBoxShotPC.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 06:18, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Infobox video game
And another infobox change: The media field is now only used when at least one platform a game was released on uses several types of media (e.g. Windows, MSX), or leaves the method of distribution ambiguous. Prime Blue (talk) 13:32, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Mario Bros II (Thundersoft)
Are you sure that Mario Bros II (Thundersoft) is notable? I searched for it, and found nothing but the release information on GameSpot. It wasn't even on the List of Mario media, or mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia except List of Commodore 64 games: A-M#M. Existence=/=Notable. Blake (Talk·Edits) 16:53, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- All video games are notable. Maybe there was more coverage on paper sources than there are on the Internet. GVnayR (talk) 16:59, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:1973Alamo500NASCARColorPhoto.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:1973Alamo500NASCARColorPhoto.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 06:18, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Warming leading to high level cooling
Hi, from your edit to Ozone depletion#Arctic ozone hole, you don't seem to have appreciated the context set out in the linked source, which is also featured in the Ozone depletion#Ozone depletion and global warming section of the article. These explain that when greenhouse gases trap more heat at the surface, less heat escapes to higher levels and so the stratosphere above 20km height gets cooler. It's a bit counter-intuitive, hope that helps. . . dave souza, talk 20:45, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Mr. Carpainter
Speedy deletion nomination of Mr. Carpainter
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Mr. Carpainter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Tiggerjay (talk) 19:55, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:EaglelandMother2Manual.png
Thanks for uploading File:EaglelandMother2Manual.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Earthbound articles
Hi, articles on Wikipedia must be on notable subjects, which is determined through coverage in third party reliable sources. Wikis and Wikias are not reliable sources as anybody can edit them. This means the various articles you have recently created are not notable, and should be redirected to the relevant game article. Wikipedia is not an EarthBound Wiki and should not have articles on every subject in their universe. Thanks, Blake (Talk·Edits) 17:19, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
The article Addition Elle has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- non-notable company
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 01:43, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Nomination of Addition Elle for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Addition Elle is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tom Cruise Picture
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Tom Cruise Picture, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Restored and prodded due to incorrect, in my view, use of CSD G12. Currently in PROD. Cirt, please feel free to renominate to AfD if you see fit. Sorry that that was immaturely interrupted. Kyle Barbour 03:18, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- GVnayR, have you read WP:SYNTH? Do you really think this material falls outside of it? It will almost certainly fail AfD at the moment, and should based on that policy. If it does not pass WP:SYNTH, I would highly recommend looking at TVTropes, a website actually specialized for this sort of original writing. As it stands, I don't believe it's suited for Wikipedia unless you can show that this idea is a common idea that is written about by many people, not just Robert Ebert. Please consider that and let it fail PROD for everyone's benefit and so you don't work hard on something not suited for this site if it is only your own synthesis. Timeline of the 2007–11 recession
Afternoon! I just wanted to say that I think you'd like to see the updated Timeline of the 2007–11 recession page I've been working on. Added more information, tweaked and claned it up a bit. I hope you like the work I've done. If anything, I still think some things can be polished, and of course other things added (I'm still doing research as we speak). Hope it hasn't been too grand of a change; you too have also contributed some impressive work, I must say! Eug.galeotti (talk) 18:34, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
