Speedy deletion nomination of International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.rsis.edu.sg/research/icpvtr/about-us/#.WZC6za17EnU. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]Hello, I'm KylieTastic. I noticed that you recently removed content from Rohan Gunaratna without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Do not remove sourced material you do not agree with - if "All claims against him have been resolved and proven untrue" that add addition content with reliable sources. You also re-wrote the leed section as an unsourced puff KylieTastic (talk) 08:01, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Rohan Gunaratna, you may be blocked from editing. KylieTastic (talk) 14:38, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not your soapbox. Please make sure the content you're adding is directly related to the subject of the article. NeilN talk to me 20:45, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
Your edits
[edit]I've been looking at your editing history and you don't seem to have improved at all since KylieTastic warned you. You only seem to be here to puff up Gunaratna and promote the Sri Lankan's government's view of the Canadian Tamil Congress.
- This is unsourced puffery. Please see WP:VERIFIABILITY.
- Aside from the laughable hyperbole, this is a coatrack and contains synthesis. "Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources." You need to find sources that explicitly mention Gunaratna.
- You copied much of the material here with the same issues. Again, sources need to explicitly mention the CTC and how they provided cover for/facilitated the "criminal activities".
- You also used a primary source (the Gazette) to support an assertion against a living person. That is prohibited by policy - WP:BLPPRIMARY.
You can discuss your edits on the article talk pages but if you simply revert or make similar edits without getting consensus I will recommend you be blocked from editing. --NeilN talk to me 21:52, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
