Speedy deletion nomination of Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association
[edit]A tag has been placed on Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 14:28, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Don't be discouraged
[edit]Sorry you've had a bit of a rough start here. The article you wrote isn't going to be speedily deleted after all. However, you need to get some WP:Citations from reliable sources in the article and expand it. Otherwise it will likely be deleted at some point in the near future through peer review. These Wikipedia:Citation templates should help you get the footnotes in there. Good luck and welcome to Wikipedia. Let me know if I can help by leaving a note on my talk page. Happy editing! [edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as the edit you made to Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. tedder (talk) 02:18, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
