Infobox deletion
Hi, I reverted your deletion of the infobox on Banknotes of the pound sterling because it was unexplained and had no discussion on the article talk page. I see you have now reverted my reversion and have once again deleted the infobox. Given that you appear to have much experience in editing Wikipedia, I thought you might have taken a more constructive approach. Please would you consider in future (a) at the very least offering reasons on article talk pages for removing large content deletions before pressing ahead; and (b) replacing the infobox with a type you think is more appropriate, if you believe that the use of the currency infobox is not correct, rather than just deleting it. I'm not going to revert your reversion of my reversion because I don't consider that would be constructive editing on my part, but if you can find the time to replace the deleted content with something you think is better, that would be much appreciated. Thanks. Cnbrb (talk) 14:22, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hey Cnbrb, thanks for writing. I deleted the use of {{Infobox currency}} on Banknotes of the pound sterling in the process of auditing uses of that template. No other banknote or coin article uses that infobox, and the data in it was redundant with what was in the primary currency article, Pound sterling. I tried to make that clear in my edit summary; apologies if I was not successful. In reverting your reversion, I did make a small effort to find a suitable replacement infobox, but articles such as Federal Reserve Note, Banknotes of the Canadian dollar, and Euro banknotes do not seem to use one, opting instead to include only a representative image. I do believe there's opportunity here to create a new infobox that could be used for such articles (banknotes and coins alike), and I'm happy to work with you on getting that done. Happy editing! —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 15:00, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi again - sure, or just a generic infobox would be fine. I don't feel strongly either way really. Sorry, you just took me by surprise with the edit. Happy to work out a solution with you if you have a good idea. Cnbrb (talk) 15:17, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- You've just done it again on Banknotes of the Hong Kong dollar!! Please put a note on the talk pages of Wikipedia before doing a large deletion like this. I've already asked you not to do this! Cnbrb (talk) 12:16, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
Request to review Syntactic Structures
Hello, I have been working on the article on and off for a long time now. I can see that you are an active member of Wikiproject Linguistics. I would be happy if you took some time to read the article and gave me some feedback so that I can improve it in terms of language, tone, neutrality, precision, concision, etc. Thanks in advance.
