[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Also possible violation of username policy. Will notify admins. Hghyux (talk) 19:54, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- I don't see anything in your editing that could be regarded as "vandalism".
- I thought it a matter of courtesy to tell you that the same editor who posted the above message also reported you to Administrator intervention against vandalism. I have declined the report as unwarranted, as you can see here. I think you are doing a very good job of editing neutrally despite having a potential conflict of interest (which you have openly declared). JamesBWatson (talk) 20:23, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Thank you, JBW. I was focused on adding detail to the section, not on vandalising. I...GMArchivist (talk) 14:27, 2 March 2012 (UTC)GMArchivist

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created General Motors, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "GMArchivist", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. I see that you have very properly declared your conflict of interest on your user page. However, I don't believe that that entitles you to use a name that implies association with the company. I also suggest that you should refrain from editing directly any article about General Motors, its products, its competitors or their products. You are of course very welcome to request additions and corrections by posting on the talkpages of those articles. Wikipedia values your knowledge, but it's usually going to be better to let others decide how to add it to the project. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:53, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
