Speedy deletion nomination of Dylan John Riley
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dylan John Riley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The article Dylan John Riley has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. SoWhy 07:31, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]The article Talking Politics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
It appears that nearly every source (if not every single one) is primary or not independent. Half of them seem to just be links to books that were discussed on the podcast. I would argue the number of references is an example of WP:NOTEBOMB. The page also has one of the most egregious uses of external links in the body of the article that I've seen, which is a violation of WP:LINKFARM and probably WP:PROMO. While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TipsyElephant (talk) 20:51, 10 November 2022 (UTC)
- I don't work for the (now defunct) podcast and am just a fan. I created the page in order to have an overview of all the episodes (until I stopped updated the page though) with links to episodes, authors and books. It's really a single synthetic page you can't find anywhere else or one has to go through all the episodes. I'd love having such synthetic pages for other authors or podcasts, which don't exist elsewhere on the Internet and Wikipedia is the perfect place for that. I really don't understand the ill will to kill such a useful page! Especially now that the podcast has ended... GHR1961 (talk) 21:49, 10 November 2022 (UTC)
