Speedy deletion of Image:Waluigi.png

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Waluigi.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:Waluigi.png|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wario

[edit]

What makes it normal? Are you saying that the normal costume of Wario is the one that they rarely ever use anymore? There hasn't been a Nintendo-developed Wario Land game since Wario Land 4 - the two platformers that followed were Wario World and Wario: Master of Disguise, developed by Treasure and Suzak. The last Wario game to sell one million copies in Japan is WarioWare: Touched!. The last Wario Land game to do that is, IIRC, Wario Land 3. What makes it the better pick? It's not current, saying it's normal is your biased POV, and the WarioWare franchise has proven to be an equal franchise to Wario Land, unlike games such as Mario Tennis or Mario Party. So why on Earth would anyone say that the current depiction isn't the better depiction? Hell, if we look at the games...

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
Wario Land II
Virtual Boy Wario Land
Wario Land 3
Wario Land 4
Wario World

Versus

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$
WarioWare: Twisted!
WarioWare: Touched!
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$
WarioWare: Smooth Moves!

Six main games versus five main games. Hmm... So it took Wario Land one decade to get six, and WarioWare five years to get five? Oh, and the fact that two of the games got some of the best scores in the entire Wario series? Yeah. - A Link to the Past (talk) 18:29, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Castlevaniaooe.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Castlevaniaooe.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:05, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
